Shippers need to calm down, specially the Kyo x Athena group; nothing that happens in Kof: KYO is canon, and should not serve as basis for any argument.
Why does Athena have to like Kyo who's cocky? That's so typical of Japanese animes/ mangas. Girls like cool boys who acts like he's the most handsome man in the world and girls have to be begging to be his girl. I saw in the manga that Kensou always helps Athena when she's in trouble or even save her. Now that's how a man should be. I'd like to see Athena and Kensou together
Any hint of Athena liking Kyo only happens in KoF: KYO or in other separate material, in the main series though this never happens, stating that Athena has a crush on Kyo is not really true, that's just like saying Athena has a boyfriend because the Dating SIM Days of Memories the player character can hook up with Athena.
Athena knows of Kensou's crush on her....but she chooses to refuse him because he seems to embarrass her....so she keeps him as a friend. Sorry Kensou....u can do better though!
