I think Wiley Coyote ordered something like this from the Acme rocket car people trying to catch the Road Runner. His didn't work nearly as well as this one

Check out very similar attempt to cross the St. Lawrence in a rocket car. 1) cars are not aerodynamic in free flight. 2) cars are not balanced for free flight. 3) at very high speeds, unfastened parts come off and your chute deploys. 4) it's a waste of time.
