and how long have the steelers been around...1933 and their first superbowl appearance was in 1975... the Bengals were started in 1968 and made the superbowl in 1982 so lets see it took the steelers 42 years to do get to a superbowl/championship and it took the bengals 14 years to make it to their first superbowl and I think the steelers and theirs refs are the jokes

I am a huge Steelers fan but was really rooting for Cincy pretty hard this game. I wanted to get a better draft choice since a win in this game would have not put us in the playoffs. If we would have lost this game, we would have drafted Patrick Willis who is better than Timmons. Thank God the Steelers did not beat the Ravens in the last game of the 2003 season. We still would have Maddox as our quarterback

This game was pretty sweet, but it was also pretty bitter, as well. Sure, knocking the Bengals out of the playoffs was nice, but the Steelers were the defending champions. It would have been nice if this play clinched a playoff berth.

Watching The Steelers eliminate the Benglas from the playoffs in 2006 never gets old.
They cried all year of what would ahve happened if Palmer hadn't gotten hurt in the playoff game of 2005.
Then in what was basically a playoff game for them the next year with Palmer healthy and again in Cincy they lose anyways.
True, we didn't have Holmes in 2005 but we also didn' tahve Bettis in 2006 who ran all over them in 2005 adn they had Palmer and Chri Henery healthy in 2006.

he called a double coverage on santonio top/bottom double..if he would have called for bracket (side to side double) coverage that would have been an interception or imcompletion. then again if it was bracket ben might have noticed it in time. I enjoy the move/countermove stragety that comes with NFL football.

Ben carried the 2005 team to the Superbowl throwing 7 TDs and 3 INTs combined in the playoffs. The defense ended up winning that Superbowl for them.
The Steelers D carried Ben to the playoffs in 2008 and Ben played very well in every single game. Ben and Santonio won them the Superbowl game. The defense played very poorly in the 2nd half.
