What can spider man do against giant robots, blust them with spider webs? If iron could've shared the tech, we wouldn't spend billions on shuttles, just pud on the suit and you'll get to the international space station within seconds :D

In some of the animated series, he beats large robots by 1. Gumming up their works with large amounts of web. 2. Roping them with web and using his spider strength to swing them against hard objects or into the ground thus disabling them and 3. redirecting their weapons back at them.

Brute force and munitions are not always required, that's what makes him great ;]

Only problem with the nuke going off in space, the EMP blast. The US experimented with blowing them up over the Pacific in the early 1960's... they'd blow out all the electronics from Hawaii to New Zealand and Australia. Sure you'd save the city, but you'd blow every circuit across most of the continent.

He didn't fix it, he relied on both suits freezing to take him back to earth. I specifically remember these lines:

"I've made your suit better in every way." -Iron Monger.

"Oh yeah? How'd you fix the freezing problem?" -Iron Man.

"Freezing problem?" -Iron Monger.

He fixes the freezing problem in the movie, it's after the test flight, but before the party (with the Stan Lee cameo)

Stark tells Jarvis to redesign the suit but with a gold titanium alloy to stop it from freezing, then he throws a little red in for good measure.

I can't remember exactly where it is, but the MKIII (red and gold) was designed specifically to solve the freezing problem.

It's the scene between the MKII test flight and the scene before the first appearance of the MKIII. The reason the MKIII fails during the fight with IronMonger is because the arc reactor (heart thing) was taken by Stain and put into his suit so Stark had you use the old one to stay alive.
