  • I was in my friends tacoma and he went through water/ mud up to his windshield! with no mods other than better tires... just bone stock That shits impressive

  • Nice Kevin, do you still do this with your Forester or use your Triton?

  • if top gear used a subaru in the crossing the english channel episode....they wouldve succeeded their first try and made it across. and they clearly wouldnt even need ridiculous outboard engines or floatation devices. this vid proves it!

  • I can really appreciate your modifications AND your experience. I'm astounded at how many people just drive into water who's depth they don't know and expect to get across. On my stock Impreza sedan, I can ford 1' (30CM) of water and be fine. I look out the driver's window at the front wheel. If the water gets above the center of the rim, I stop and reverse out.

  • She's a Subbie!!!!!

  • Hell yeah... Subaru! Love you Aussies.

  • i want a slightly lifted forester with some nice meaty tires for the winter months ;D

especially for the times like this past snow storm.. im from NJ 3 storms in 2 weeks a good 18 inches in some spots lol

  • Good bottom washing ;-)))

  • nice work for the Forester!!

  • ok dude where was the road how did u know u where gunna stay on it i mean a lake on both sides u go off and blurp ur 40feet deep in muddy water that is way to dangerousi mean really 1 tire off and ur floating to ur death

  • he said he walked it before hand, and im sure its a road he knew well

  • correct

  • If you read the intro "we walked the crossing first" ;-)

  • that's impressive

  • Whoops! accidently removed the post about ignition protection. Creating a bow wave in front of the vehicle will help keep water out. Otherwise, per the other video put a "blind" across the front of the car.

  • What if you've stopped in the middle ? This is likely my next car (within 5/6 months). Wish it had Manual Shift with Turbo engine.

  • Switch the engine off immediately! Then recover

  • awesome!!

  • cool

  • Any on wanta put out a line?

  • What do you think of the Forester Mountain Rescue and then the Forester Diesel that might be released in '10?

  • Very cool, please tell me where I can get the snorkel and what else would I need if I wanted to do alot of water crossing with my forester?

  • That looked like damned good fun

  • St Albans NSW, google map location has been set since the video was uploaded

    cheers

  • Snorkelling??

  • I now have a Snorkel on my Baja! Sweet water crossing !!

  • hi guys,

top looking rigs you got there!!!

    keen to see more vids!!

    bryan

  • I would love a brush guard for mine. Are they home-made?

  • both the XT and XS are fitted with Subaextreme bash plates.

  • I have a 2004 forester and i was wondering who made your snorkel?

  • the XT is custom bent and the XS snorkel is modified from another snorkel to fit

  • I would say besides the snorkel, probably a breather for the rear diff and that's probably it.

  • snorkel, breather, lift, centre diff lock, bash plate, front and rear bars, BF goodrich AT's on 15" rims - theres too many mods to list

  • i have BFG A/Ts for my toyota Surf.. those tyres will probably go old before they wear down!

    nice vid!

  • whoa. it made it. was water coming in the doorsils?

  • Not really - but - all 3 Foresters took on some water in the rear passenger footwells. Discovered some holes in the underbodies that were soon sealed up!

  • Nice one Kevin!!

  • sick!!!!
