  • If these were two humans, I would expect the camera man to put down the camera and help the humans. Why is it different for animals?

  • @Lenzkid10 Because the humans know that things are going to be okay when help is approaching. Animals don't have the slightest clue of what just occurred, they are very frightened...thats when they can be the most dangerous.

  • Oh very sad but so glad that both dogs are ok - My heart goes out to you all in Japan God Bless xx

  • Good news. I wish them well.

Yahoo News has reported, both dogs have been rescued and are being treated:

If you feel the need to help:

    google lifewithdogs

    For USA disasters:

    google noahswish

  • What im sure u all mean to say is that these creatures dont wait for a disaster or for someone to be hurt to love them.. but when it does happen every fibre in their body shows that this is the way they felt all along.. their love is not intermittent or opportunistic.

  • I wish humans could be more like these two dogs. The world would be a better place <3

Good luck doggies <3 I wish I could take you into my home and give you tons of hugs and kisses :(

  • Omg I never cry but u am cryin omg that's so beautiful

  • 1:58 to 2:07 is what really made me want to cry, I feel like the dog is saying "its okay, im here for you"

  • @KHRLambo who's to say it wasnt?

  • They are so loyal. How anyone can hurt a animal is beyond me. Thanks to all those that are helping rescue all the animals in Japan. I know you are waiting for the ok to go into Fukushima as it is not declared safe with Radiation treat of the Nuclear Plant. You are doing a great job. THANK YOU. Recy Australia

  • that is happy news that the dogs got out safe it was sad to see that dog sitting next to his friend, and not leaving his side.

  • Its a Brittany! A very loyal breed.

  • This made me cry :((

  • "C"mon, a little help for my friend please"-precious dog in Japan

  • animals should be loved bcos deep inside they also have hearts...

  • continuation:

He looks to be weakened. We need to them to be rescued soon. We really want them rescued soon.

    Oh good. He's getting up.

It is amazing how they survived the tremendous earthquake and tsunami. It's just amazing that they survived through this all.

  • Right there. There is another dog right next to the one sitting down. He is not moving. I wonder. I wonder if he is alright.

    The dog is protecting him.

Yes. He is protecting the dog. That is why he did not want us to approach them. He was trying to keep us at bay.

I can't watch this. This is a very difficult to watch.

Oh. Look. He is moving. He is alive. I am so happy to see that he is alive.

    Yes! Yes! He is alive.

  • Here is an English translation of the voiceover exchange between the two reporters in the clip (translation courtesy of Toshiyuki Kitamura):

We are in Arahama area. Looks like there is a dog. There is a dog. He looks tired and dirty. He must have been caught in the tsunami. He looks very dirty.

He has a collar. He must be someone's pet. He has a silver collar. He is shaking. He seems very afraid.

Oh, there is another dog. I wonder if he is dead.

    Where?

  • Good to know that they didnt just take a footage of the dogs..they also recued them..

Otherwise, its nonsense to appreciate them if no one helped these amazing dogs..

  • Thats Why People Should Really learn how to Dougie..

  • this breaks my heart..

  • this is really heartbreaking even , the animals suffer from what we have done to earth.......(global warming) =,(

  • Poor animals...

  • @creamytarte

    yeah u are stupid.

  • what a brave dog..

  • No offense to anyone, but Its pretty sad when everyone always says things like "dogs / animals are better than human beings. Ive seen PLENTY of examples and had personal experiences of human compassion. While this is truly an amazing thing of the dog, people can be just as awesome. When we start counting each other out of the race, THATS one of the things that makes us degradable.

  • Truly touching video. I wish I was there. I hope they took care of those dogs.

  • ah, I was sad at first, I wasn't sure if the other dog was still alive - but, I am so glad to see that the other dog got up......I hope both dogs were rescued and treated really well.....

  • This is indeed sad but i understand that both dogs were rescued and will be ok , i learn this from CNN News ,

  • @mrlarrylo52755 i'm glad they were ok...

    makes me wail too :(

  • ouchh...very sad =((

  • most times i think we got it wrong.. we're the animals.

  • Awwwwww heart touching.......

  • we treat our dogs like trash, and yet we are trash ourselves..

  • Awwwww

  • breaks my heart to know that dogs are more faithful to their own than a lot of humans are
