Norway recently withdrew all the funding to so called "gender studies" in scientific research much due to a documentary "hjernevask" (Brainwash) shown on National Tv NRK. It shines the light on how these ideas do not hold up to science when faced with biology and psychology.

One of the feminist methods that works very well is to convince women that they are already feminists without knowing it by deceptively stating that "feminism is the belief that men and women are equal" and other nonsense statements like that. Funny thing about feminists is they want equal rights until not having them benefits them. They say they believe women should be able to work in any profession but if the profession she chooses just happens to be a stripper many of them (not all) criticize her for it. I'm all for equal rights but get real. Until we decide we want equal rights 100% of the time it will never happen.

Interesting video clip. I spent a few years in college hearing all sorts of hateful ideas about men coming feminists. When they would ask me why I was not a "feminist" I would tell them that I did not share many of the views, then they would pull on me what the woman at the end of this video did with the "feminism is about equality of the sexes......that is all it is about". My mum was a feminist and I hate her. She was the one in charge, she wouldnt have it any other way, my dad was a macho outgoing guy and she did everything to change him, whcih sadly worked and he ended up getting depression. shes got a great job ,earns loads of money buty i have zero respect for her, I think women should act like women and men should act like men it's a lot healthier.

For instance, egalitarianism means equality for all, not feminism otherwise it wouldn't have the partiality of the "feminine" denoted in its prefix. So at best feminism means equality for (and only for) women in lieu of the fact that men and women naturally vary in ability which essentially demands inequality of rights. A lot of people are commenting on how more men have died in combat as opposed to women. The fact is, the United States Government WILL NOT allow women in combat. So, even if a woman is qualified and wishes to serve her country by gong into direct combat, she cannot. I would say that because of this fact, which has always been since the time our country was born, using statistics of woman vs. men in combat roles is a bad way to make a point.

How about the fact that women aren't allowed to serve in combat units and only were allowed to join the military in an actual soldier functions until only a few decades ago? This is like the 'well, there weren't many women philosophers'. It isn't for lack of trying! We're not eligible to get recruited if there's a draft, and many of us would like to change that.
The biggest problem I see with the feminist movement is this idea that feminists let themselves be lesbian baited. Firstly, feminists want equal rights, not special rights. Secondly, if the scales have been tipped in man's favor for centuries, and in the process of balancing them, they tip in women's favor for 25 years, that's not a threat to male power. Women haven't even had the vote for 100 years yet, let alone the rights to abortion, legislation protecting them against sexist hiring practices, and access to higher education.
If they wanted equal rights they would be Equalist and allow men to join in on the movement. Then you could help other movements and get help from them.

Funny thing about feminists is they want equal rights until not having them benefits them. They say they believe women should be able to work in any profession but if the profession she chooses just happens to be a stripper many of them (not all) criticize her for it. Interesting video clip. I spent a few years in college hearing all sorts of hateful ideas about men coming feminists. When they would ask me why I was not a "feminist" I would tell them that I did not share many of the views, then they would pull on me what the woman at the end of this video did with the "feminism is about equality of the sexes......that is all it is about". For instance, egalitarianism means equality for all, not feminism otherwise it wouldn't have the partiality of the "feminine" denoted in its prefix. So at best feminism means equality for (and only for) women in lieu of the fact that men and women naturally vary in ability which essentially demands inequality of rights. A lot of people are commenting on how more men have died in combat as opposed to women. The fact is, the United States Government WILL NOT allow women in combat. So, even if a woman is qualified and wishes to serve her country by gong into direct combat, she cannot. I would say that because of this fact, which has always been since the time our country was born, using statistics of woman vs. men in combat roles is a bad way to make a point.

I hate feminists. This is because whenever something goes wrong with their lives, they always have to blame a man. I can understand how a few generations back women were fighting for equal rights but now they already have their rights. Now they want more. They want to get more rights than a man. Feminists are the most narrow-minded people on the face of the earth. They shouldn't be taken seriously. A true feminist looks for the rights for ALL human beings.

There's a stigma around the word feminist and I think we need a new one. Most people are feminists but know that their words are going to be less powerful if they identify themselves as such.

Did you watch the video? There's a woman on there who recites the ACTUAL definition of femism, which is also a HUUUUUUUUUUUGE part of humanism. You can't have humanism if you don't consider women's rights.

humanism takes mens and womens rights into account, as does egalitarianism. Feminism and masculinism, as is often evident through their actions, only take the rights of one gender into account.

Firstly, feminists want equal rights, not special rights. Secondly, if the scales have been tipped in man's favor for centuries, and in the process of balancing them, they tip in women's favor for 25 years, that's not a threat to male power. Women haven't even had the vote for 100 years yet, let alone the rights to abortion, legislation protecting them against sexist hiring practices, and access to higher education.

Excellent video. I see the same thing there. Both men & women who are feminists in a society striving toward equality, but because of all the negative propoganda against the feminist movement they are all afraid to actually called themselves a feminist. It's one of those things that makes you wonder what other option is there for someone to claim they are on this issue. If you aren't a feminist, are you by default a sexist?
