Hey dude, I prefer your vocals over the guy that they have now. I have been a fan of hardcore since i was 12, your intensity and pure rage is clearly displayed through your performance on this track. Your highs and lows are very clear and distinct and your mid-range is perfection. I admire you for your willingness to put this out there and I look forward to hearing more awesome vocals from you. Take care.
People are so fucking used to these fry screaming singers that it's hard for them to hear something non-standard. i miss the times where singers had characteristic voices, even when guttural. i myself use false chord & am happy to sound different than 90% of metal singers these days.
i really like ur interpretation.
please do more covers with that voice!!
(btw i'm not an 80's metalhead or anything, i'm just sick of hearing the same voice in every band.)
Could really hear Periphery with these screams. Almost as good as Chris, if that tells you anything :) Tell me when you get a band I'm gunna be a fan ;)

Intense voice you got there! I got a vocal cover of "Letter Experiment" up, you should check it out and let me know what you think! I plan on doing more by Periphery, including this song. It's hard to do vocals to some of the songs with singing, since there are straight up some high fucking notes in, like, Jetpacks Was Yes! or Light. But hit me back up, you sound interesting with good tastes in music (checked tags) and you got connections with Misha, I write melodic+hardcore+polyrhythmic music 2
Honestly, they sound forced and these are the kind of vocals that, I think, don't have a lot of volume. Are they on shouting volume or slightly louder than talking volume? Still, props for covering such a fine tune. You have great musical taste, judging by the video's tags.
@MikePostDrums Hey man, thanks for the feedback. To answer your question, everything that comes out of my mouth is loud lol. I'm not forcing them or anything, they're just produced poorly. Since I recorded this, I've improved my production template by leaps and bounds and my most recent production was actually reviewed by Misha and he had nothing but great things to say about it. He said my scream was sick and that he would recommend me to bands looking for vocalists in the future =)
@xvxdisjointedxvx Thanks man. It might've been the reverb (can't listen if there's reverb there or not right now, no audio) but they sounded forced to me. I'll listen to your new work later today man. Looking forward to it. :)
@KyuubiXX243H98 Just finding a good balance on the 8k range frequency for good consonant definition and presence of the "sss" sound, but without it being overbearing and then applying a de-esser. Nothing too fancy. I'll probably be posting a new track soon that demonstrates WAY better production all around. Its far more impressive than this one. I wrote vocals to "Angus McGillicuddy" by Nociceptor. If you're digging this stuff, you'll wanna check back for that at some point in the next week.
Your screams are awesome, not a big fan of the growls though...they sound slightly forced (that's exactly the way my voice goes when I try them). Not saying your technique is wrong (if it's comfortable for you then fair enough), just saying it sounds a bit off.
Check my page and see what you think of my "shitty vocal covers" :P I'm sure there'll be a few there you can criticise, but I guess that's the point of posting these up. You'll never know how good or shit you are until someone tells you.
@ExellenceOfExecution Thanks for the feedback EoE. Yeah, the lower screams are still a work in progress for me but they're getting better. I checked out your Jetpacks vid and dropped some feedback. I also listened to Icarus, pretty much the same advice. Production needs serious help but your screams are pretty good and if you just swapped auto tune for melodyne, your singing tracks would GREATLY benefit from it. I'm trying to decide what to record next myself...
@cheeseman812 Thanks for listening cheeseman, but if you insist that my work is just "bad" without even citing one reason why, you can't honestly expect to be taken as a credible critic. I appreciate any feedback, both positive and negative but if you can't be constructive like the other guy who suggested that the vocals could have sat better in the mix, then you come across as more of a troll than anything. I'd love to hear what specifically you think makes this bad, if you would so indulge me

No, but I'm not a vocalist. And just because I can't do any better doesn't change the fact that it's bad.
