  • This video would be labeled "racist" these days- PC sucks...

  • and why is that?

  • They sounded real good!

  • Love this song.

  • Don't ya wish all frontmen were as animated as Stan when they perform??? Most just seem to be going through the motions for the big paycheck.

  • Stan Ridgway quit the band in a huff after this performance in 83". Does anyone know why?

  • @echo962 Look them up on Wikipedia. They give a brief explanation.

  • @echo962 Joe Nanini, the drummer, poured a whole plate of potato salad on some whore backstage at the US Festival, causing the police to helicopter Joe out of the venue. Stan saw this and quit. He had enough by this point, as Joe was a full blown alcoholic. Source: Stan Ridgway himself, met him twice.

  • Great Band! I like very much Stan's voice!

    Thanks for posting!

  • 1 person is on a Russian radio

  • Thank you ChazYocom!

  • Whatever happened to the good music? :/

  • i wernt at the event, had i been, i wouldnt tellyas

  • Why did 1 person dislike this? Oviously 1 person doesn't like either the 1983 US Festival, or the Wall of Voodoo!! Who wouldn't?

  • @ChazYocom probly some lil' dipshit like justin beiber or rabecca black who have no talent and/or buy their way into the music industry.

  • The guy that was the keyboard player switched to bass for this show?

  • @TwoPointsUp - Chas Gray often switched between bass and synths during this period...

  • @randomeddie I didn't know his name, thanks for the info..

  • check the possesed guy at 0:03

  • Pure genious . Great playing , no edge lost !

  • This lead singer cracks me up, but I love his style. Reminds me of the lead singer of Midnight Oil. Every band has got to have a great front person, and this band sure found a great one in this guy! Good job!

  • WHAT A VOICE! STAN WAS AWESOME!

  • Sheer fucking genius.

  • excellent job! great video! tnx4postin'

  • I used to think this was just plain silliness when I was a kid but realized later that it was musically over my head. Now I love it.

  • I'm shocked Steve Jobs hasn't released this US fest concert on DVD. he'd be making tons of money. Granted not as much as he doe selling Apples, but still

  • Maybe because he had nothing to do with this. It was Woz.

  • Great song! sounds great live! These guys sould be bigger than U2 imho.

  • wow i mean fuck WOW just think stan couldve been as big as Mike Stipe

  • I was there that day! I was 13 and went with an older friend, It was hot as hell, and we were stoned out of our minds, but it was a day I will never forget. I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else on earth at that moment. Long live the 80's, thanks to Apple and to the Woz for the great memories.

  • "I'm sorry but when he did that thing at 2:17 it was a bit weird."

That is actually part of the song. Go listen to the recorded version or just type in "Mexican Radio" and watch the official video (where the band is all close together and a door and red background is behind them).

  • awesome, thank you. Iwa standing in line to see Pink Floyd's The Wall at the midnight show stoned out of my mind when this song was playing evrywhere. I still love it

  • I only know of this festival from legend, but from what I've seen of it, it must have been absolutely incredible to be there and see all those wonderful bands. What an awesome array of talent! Also, this is a great song.
