@DarkLordNick999 Ummm no... No HDTVs back then. But you could emulate the game on a pc hooked up to that nice HDTV of yours. ePSXe has a great gfx plugin with 3d acceleration and there are a lot of cool shaders that make psx games look amazing.

I always find this kinda weird how the phone calls, in some horror movies or games, frequently seems to happen when one of the characters, if not the main one, is in the precise location at the precise moment when the bad guy, keeping someone as hostage or something, is calling, even if there's nothing for the bad guy to know if the character will be in the room with the phone at the precise moment he's gonna call him. ..... Frankly I doubt even the creators have a firm idea of what happened but the cliff notes version is that a demon worshiping cult wanted to bring their god to Earth and so for some reason tortured a psychic girl (at least I think she was psychic) to the point that her torment warped the entire town. Then in later games it seemed more about the private hells of main characters and them finding some kind of redemption. Suffice to say that Silent Hill is WEIRD.

@evilass334 A remake with pretty much none of the themes of the first game and so many changes to the style that you could have marketed it as a different game. I would mention the ending of Shattered Memories too but there are too many spoilers.

As for the Order, they show up in nearly every game and in Silent Hill Homecoming (which I hate but is considered canon) it's made clear that there are plenty of them in the town.
