Saying that Hamas should renounce violence while standing by Israel is completely hypocritical. US/Israel doesn't recognise a Palistinian state, US/Israel uses violence to undermine its neighbours. They're alone in their opinion in the international community, and they're in serious breach of international law. Hamas is certainly evil, but US/Israel is the far more serious criminal. The appointments Obama has made makes me very pessimistic about the incoming administration.

Israel...land grabbers? You really need to do some research. Israel was a small country that received land from the UK in the 1940's. Palestine received land as well. Strong anti-Semetism and anti-Western beliefs in the Middle East opposed this and they wanted to exterminate the Jews. This led to the Six Day War where Israel kicked the shit out of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. Israel was in possession of a land mass easily 10 times more than what they started out with 6 day earlier.

What right does Britain have in giving another country's land away? The Balfour Declaration was the main reason for Germany's anguish towards the Jewish population, an anger that never existed until after the truth came out after WWI. In 1973 Egypt and Syria invaded Israel again (Yom Kippur War) and again Israel defeated them. After the war Israel gave the Sinai Peninsula back to Egypt along with the massive amount of infrastructure the Israeli's had built in the Sinai. They still refuse to give the Golan Heights back to Syria because when the Syrians were in possession of the Golan Heights before the Six Day War they would fire mortars into Israeli towns and kill civilians on a regular basis.

Israel has every right to be in the Middle East because they won the Six Day War and the Yom Kippur War. Therefore, they get the spoils of both wars. That's how it works. When you win you get to keep whatever you get. By your logic America should give our country back to the Indians.
