  • PS- Some of these comments on here, make me sick! Some of you negative people, need to stay in your house and never try anything new. Has to be the ones with parents that never gave their kids a chance to learn and explore the great things and dreams of living life to the fullest....Cheers

  • Great job dad! My daughter learned paragliding right along with me, and she is now flying (Big Air) and loves the sport, at 14 years of age. Kids have that natural ability to learn new things very quickly, and end up a pro before you know it...Cheers

  • The kid did not paraglide, his dad was just doing kiting :))

  • uuhoo my god! can be dangerous for children? he lose the control is dangerous be careful

  • lol great:) a live dragon:):) the next mike kung;)

  • The kid thinks he's a kite..

  • @carot2003 no the dad thinks the kid is a kite.

  • More like a 5 year old kite..

  • Brilliant! The kid will grow up with a healthy respect for the elements and probably make a world-class paraglider pilot. Who knows, maybe he'll go on and make it a career. Have fun kid, and good job Dad!

  • @nolifemerc Are you serious? Jesus the world would be a truly miserable and soulless place if it was populated with people with your attitude. You might be Norwegian but you don't have any Viking spirit in you! kill Joy

  • Awesome, i wish my dad was this cool and taught me how to paraglide when i was 5 :D

If his dad an experienced paraglider according to uploader did not think it was safe im sure the kid would not be doing it. Kids these days are wrapped up in cotton wool here in the uk, there banned from things like paying football at lunchtime and even playing conkers due to H&S Bullcrap. Im all for this.

    Way to go Dad!

  • I'm thinkin more like a water ski rope with a handle or something.....

  • Son & Dad how it should be!

  • I just strap my little brother to a kite and fly him...

  • Love the laugh

  • Wow I wish my dad did that when I was 5

  • hi 5

  • In this case it was a safe way of doing a small flight to a juvenile. there was a short string attached to the kid and the wing was adapted to him. He seemed to be enjoying the ride. keep it as safe as that please. I am sure he will continue to enjoy flying

I have seen a mother trying to make fly a 3 year old kid by himself towed by a 30 feet rope on a wing much too big for him .what a shame.

  • @explorateurdesairs WHILE YOU WATCHED.DID YOU TRY AND SUGGEST TO THE MOTHER THE WING IS TOO BIG? WHILE BEING TOWED BY A 30 FEET ROPE???IT WOULD BE A BIGGER SHAME IF YOU JUST WATCHED INSTEAD.WHAT A SHAME

  • @TONYPARAMOTOR : Sorry for the misunderstanding. I only saw this awful thing on another vdo on you tube,

Not all parents like you really take care of security while introducing their kids to paragliding .

He is probably still enjoying flying and surely improved by the time.

I believe teaching children to handle calculated risks is part of education.

They will be less prone to takink useless risks in the futre.

My daughter went to whitewater kayaking this way

    Happy flying, Michel, explo

  • i think its amazing to start him on --> /thumbsup

  • thought the guy was gonna run off the cliff not lookin were he was goin lol

  • Living the dream.

  • Lol, my first real flight on a parachute was when I was 7 years old. In Turkey. :) SCARY TRUST ME!

  • brother, that's just awesome!!!!!

  • I did this same exact thing with my daughter when she was five on the beach in Mexico...1991. She laughed just like the little kid in the video. Yes, totally safe, the air is horizontal on a gentle slope and we towed her up to 20' off the beach. The local kids stood in line for a ride and maybe the only time their feet ever leave the planet.

  • Thats GREAT !!!

  • so what conditions do u need t fly one??

  • a 5 yr old can do it? man, i wanna try that crap, looks like so much fun :D

  • looks more like a paracute with a removed slider and PC...

  • Gin Nano Speedrider

  • what if a big gust of wind came along and the tether was pulled out of the dad's hand. then the little kid would be in texas by now.

  • @OceanderTethyseus

The father has been paragliding since he was about 10 and has never done anything but paraglide. The site is one of the most consistent in the country and they both live a stones throw from the spot where they are playing. The air is also very horizontal at the spot where they are playing and that glider doesn't really go up no matter how hard it's blowing. Basically, no chance...

  • they should at least give the little kid some sandwiches to take with him in case he gets blown away way up into the clouds. i feel so sorry for that little kid way up there with no lunch.

  • True.

  • @OceanderTethyseus No father will have his kid in a dangerous situation, unless he has serious issues, he made sure that his son is safe, I am sure! Some of you guys are very quick to label someone, take it easy... he loves his son and he is making sure the kid getts it right so he would be a champ or a very good paraglider, just take it easy...

  • @flyfastnhigh13 Well said.

  • @OceanderTethyseus

What if.... Suppose.... Think of the possibi..... What if the Wright-brothers were thinking like this?

  • @OceanderTethyseus More likely, with a gust the glider would dive left/right, and with inexperienced pilot, the child would be sub-terainian.

  • ...was there a tether to paraglider? a neat

    video snippet yep.

  • yes, his dad was towing him along with a string

  • cool. how much would it cost to do that?

  • About 5 million pounds in plastic surgery adn bone reduction to make you look 5 years again, and about 150$ for a midget paraglider

  • lmao!

  • LOLrotfl

  • brilliant

  • @armandin2048 it's a regular 2000$ speedflyer but at least you could make funny comments

  • AWESOME!!!

  • Wow... lots of kids of that age would like to do that with is dad! :) Nice video.

  • what a lucky kid who gets to do that age i wish i had done it in my youngster hood

  • I love the laugh, that's so cute!

  • Now that's taking your kid kite flying!

  • Looks like he used the Force to freeze him and put him safely back to the ground :D

  • LOL!

  • what?

  • the kite kid

  • Starting that young will make a master in the sport im sure.

  • He's good!

  • wow nice

  • Bellissimo ...

  • master!!

  • where do you get the 10 m parachute

  • Hello3427.......

Looks like a speed flying canopy

  • my wife would kill me!

  • nicely...

  • He looked teathered to the adult and with little wind there was little chance of him being pulled away from the teather.

    Am I right?

ONce I saw a little woman with a little glider go out of control at the point of the mtn when a big heavy weight dude grabbed her by the foot and held on while the wind tried to pull her away. (the wind got crazy all the sudden and she shouldn't have been flying as a beginer.) It was a cool sight for him to reach up and grab on to her while she got it under ctrl.

  • the best of the best!!!

  • do you make this Paraglider homemade? i mean with your sewing machine?

  • ya! how did you get the logo on the side!

  • what for a logo?

  • i was pointing out the fail of your comment asking if this was a home-made wing when there is a LOGO ON THE SIDE

  • Thats just great seeing kids fly.

  • its like flying a kite

  • Fantastic

  • my wife would shoot me

  • my wife would go absolutely effing nuts

  • NO WAY !!!! That is totally mad. I have a 5 year old son but i would not have the guts to let him do that. Hey ... good luck to you anyhow.

  • Probably worth noting that this is not my kid. It's a young man named Adam and his dad Kevin. They are an awesome team and they have both been paragliding for their whole lives... My kid is still in diapers and he wants to do sports that involve more beaches and bikinis.

  • I started paragliding at 13 and i think i was young. Starting basics at 5 its amazing. =)

  • did you hear at like 14 seconds when the get goes airborne, so funny he's laughing with joy!!

  • Wow, I can't wait to show Wyatt this one! He will be so jealous!

  • Hey Chris, we're still waiting for you to develop a speed glider that's meant for the coast or ridge soaring. You sell a few here in NorCal. Great work, man!

  • That is a Gin Gliders Nano, 10 M meant for flying down mountains with skis on. People do fly the Gin Gliders Nano without skis but they usually use a 14 M size. The 10 M size that he is using is meant for total experts OR, him....

  • Is that a little display wing that's not really meant for flying or what? That wing looked TINY!

  • I would never get my wife to agree to that. Awesome.

  • 5 years old!!! Amazing.I discovered the sport at age 36.The little fellas got 31 years on me.Got luck and safe flying.

  • oh yeah

  • Awesome!

  • WOW!

  • Awesome! Love it :)

  • That is a way cool dad!

  • That's the coolest thing I have seen on Utube. Yhanks for sharing.

  • Hey guys, I saw ya this evening on the North Side having a great time. He's a natural. where was my dad when I was that age

  • That is AWESOME!!!

Hey, he flies better than I do.
