  • I personally like the Sybreed version of the song better.

  • the intro reminds me a bit the song smells like teen spirit from nirvana, by the way the drummer doesn't look bad to me :P

  • The bloke with the scythe at 0:37 - it's phill the dope-smoking copper from Early Doors !!

  • Because of this song I have a mind f***ed disability now.

  • Motley Crue, NIRVANA, Nine Inch Nails, they all ripped off Killing Joke one way or another.

  • @mengele800 I think you are right. they were world ahead and still have some material that needs exploiting. Cheers..

  • Absolute Master Piece

    Classic, Timeless.

Love the song, how its sounding, the voices, the timbre, the aesthetics, I love it from head to toe. ... Still sounding centuries ahead of their time.

PS : Raven couldn't be a so cool bass player, its amazing,,,,,

. R.I.P. dude, you have made it very well in this dimensional plane..

    Thanks you. For ever.

  • trop fort!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "Now I know where Motley Crue got the idea for Dr. Feelgood".

    That's friggin' hilarious.....

  • Forgot this song.

    Thanks for posting it!

1985, what a massive releases and great music on a wide range.

Now you hear to much of the same.

    Anyway, thanks for posting this.

What most have to understand that this was in 1985.

Killing Joke inspired many along the way,

A lot of great Bands like Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, Nepalm Death, Metellica, SoundGarden, Foo Fighters, Rammstein, Korn and many more!!

Idols named better, where inspired by these guys.

  • Whoever likes metal music, check out Sybreed's cober, 100 times better imo.

  • @L4veyan cover*

  • Nice video-a classic! You can't beat the original still; lyrics are a bit clearer. Recorded in 1985!

A bit of Jaz makes towards a good staple diet for anyone with a wakeful soul.

One thing's for fucking sure it don't make me cringe..I don't give a shit how they're dressed. How can you be so crass!

  • from all countries the highest peak position was recorded in the Netherlands, (no. 5). Shame on the others !

  • @Robert1064 It reached numero 8. But a great song! I was 13 at that time. They where ahead of their time. For commercial use, it was maybe to hard still, back then. But great to hear it again. Brings back memories, great! Thanks for posting again. Funny how everybody gets angry and annoyed. Just about a song from 1985. Some people, have way to much time to loose. mjcuracao
  • Tease me, please me......

  • I like Dead By April's cover because I'm mainly into that sort of music. However, I still love this version as well. I'd have rather DBA cover it than any pop artist in the so-called "charts"of today.

  • joder.....si son republicanos!!!....Salud y República!!!!!.....minuto 3:15....banderica y miliciano...

  • joder.....si son republicanos!!!....Salud y República!!!!!

  • Awful Duran 80's style pose video - makes me fkn cringe. Compare this to 17th 1981! at the east side club. Killing no, Joke.

  • Such a amazing song!

  • Classic, album Nighttime, that's where it began with the Joke for me.

  • the real new wave

  • Just. Fucking. Excellent.

  • great stuff

  • FUCKING MOST AMAZING SONG EVER!!!!!!!!!

  • Night Time and Brighter than a thousand suns are in my opinion the best two KJ albums!

  • #NowPlaying, KillingJoke - Love Like Blood

  • check this 80s classic out...

  • @SchokoladeShake No way.that cover is really disgusting and how to put it politely...

    let's say homosexual :P

  • @gmenem It is polite, to you, to call something that you do not like a homosexual? You are an idiot. I hope not all Greeks are homosexual. :)

  • @sweiland75 it's not only that I didn;t like it,I just that it sounds that way.Unlike this song which is brilliant

  • @sweiland75 YOUR MAMA IS A LESBIAN SO I RECALL YOUR DADA

    FUCK YOU

  • timeless video!

  • ichigopaul: If you think dba's version is better you are either in that band or you are deaf. which is it?

  • Love this song!

  • 6 people like BIEBER

  • @AnduinX lol to badddddd we can t see who doesn t like this song .

  • God i love to last dance to this...

  • dead by aprils version sounds much better i think

  • I used to play this song all the time back in the days. 1985 doesn't seem that long ago. Timeless piece of work! Still at 43 years of age this song makes me sing my guts out

  • @bonsai67 Does the same for me and I'm 16 :)

  • @jacobcyanide Like I said. Timeless! :)

  • This is music.... !!!!!! Time has passed by, but this music will never die....

  • this is a awesome track

  • i hope the new album sounds like 'night time'. That's my favorite KJ sound.

  • I used to put this on the videojukebox in donegal when I played pool aged 10 or so...

Loved it because it was so different and still love it today aged 41...

  • One of the few eighties bands that didn't make asses of themselves.

Thisis one convincing performance. 8T's ESSENCE

  • Cultissime !!!!!!! encore et encore .........

  • Raven might have died at 46 but he lived his way out of this life. More than I can say for most.

  • THE NAME OF THE BAND, EVERYTHING... IS GENIUS.... ONLY PROB WAS THAT THEY ALWAYS MADE ME FEEL DEPRESSED....

  • Really love the wartime/martial imagery in this video. Love songs rarely have images of Maoist struggle attached to them. Very interesting combination.

  • great bass

  • wapuuu

  • hay alguien de costa nica

  • ok...

  • c bien cool !

  • ist very good

  • raven looks pretty clean in this video-I always admired him as a player-too bad he passed

  • MITICI KILLING JOKE!!!

  • they wear skivvies and yet were the very pinnacle of epic!

  • That dude with the bass is rocking out man haha. All you guys saying today's music lacks heart just haven't found the good music from today. Sybreed did a cover of this and I have to say that it's definitely up there with 80s music in terms of love put into the music. There's good music. Just gotta find it.

  • @Samus5164

    Like who.....??????????

  • @Samus5164

just gotta find the sentence (evil grin ). Still - agree with the sentiment

  • it says 1985 bollocks it was 1984 i was still in high school

  • The 80's were great for music! Jaz Coleman is a genuine mad genius!

  • there was something very colplay-viva la vida about the video.. I don't think it's a coincidence. Oh well, you can't expect people not to steal from these icons! Epic song!

  • I bloody love this track. Reminds me of studying at University, happy, carefree days....this track was a massive favourite at the Friday night 'Alternative' disco. Just wonderful.

  • trop emotionnel, j'aime !

  • woow, the Sybreed cover of this is amazing.

  • ???????????????????????

  • Es la bandera de la república?

  • Fantastic... such a classic

  • My absolute favourite from the album.

  • Jaz Coleman lives in New Zealand, so do I.

  • I love how dramatic some 80s music was lol

  • So strong..incredible in person..their passion and tightness as a band lacking in todays "music"..just listen to the lyrics!!!....

  • I still adore this fantastic song.

  • class

  • Humm la New wave des années 80, encore un titre qui m'a fait vibrer

  • Still standing strong after all the years. And still blasting away many songs of nowadays!

  • Looooooooooove Geordie Walker......what a face !!!! gorgeous, just gorgeous

  • The good old 80's hey, actually I had a ball in the 80's big hair, lots of lipstick+mascara...that was just all how all my boyfriends looked.Strange in a way as good as Killing Joke are they were considered fairly ahead of their time ...Hmm I preferred listening to Zappa+Gong myself...still do

  • Members of Killing Joke can be proud of being part of such a project. Personally, I think their best songs are from the mid'80s, including this one, of course!

And they were also very cute!

  • I'm still listening to this song after 23 years. It wasn't new in 1987 but that's the first time I saw this clip on TV and liked it. It's an unusual song and I really enjoy the rhythm and guitar parts. However, the vocals are a little weak and let the song down.

  • Romantique et mélancolique à souhait!

    J'adore!

  • This makes me feel like::: Wind in my face

    Yeah.. gushhhhhhhhhh

  • Thanks fo sharing Keijz74 - I have a couple of their albums on cassette (God showing my age now.) Very New Wave.

  • This is an all time great song. KJ influenced a lot of bands. This song reminds me of going through Europe on the Eurail (I'm American) when I was 18. And from what I've read in the comments, KJ is still touring. Holy $hite!

  • This sounds like... some mix of everything good (or worth it) from the 80s...

  • Siete grandi

  • Can't wait to see them here in Seattle!

  • i'm diggin' this band so hardcore right now.......amazing song!!

(amazing vid too.....totally makes me nostalgic for the 80s)

  • Sh**

why didnt i discover this band earlier!!!

    awesome !!!!

  • Killing Joke! One of my fav of the 80's

  • i thumbsupped that

  • @oneiricillusion haha, I understand you XD

  • XD

this is amazing though I understand most ppl felt this was KJ at its worst?

Could any fans recommend better songs to make me drop my jaw at the awesome? XD

  • pure classic...amazing beat!!love it!!

  • eventually I miss the eighties... I miss them so much . There wasn't a Sarkozy behind each of us . We were still kind of free .

  • Totally fascistic: if the Nazis ever return big-time, THIS will be their theme.

  • what a riff, this is a beautiful song.

  • Paul Raven kicks ass.

  • Killing Joke are just amazing.

they have heart , soul and rip the crap out of everybody else.

Raven's bassline on this is fantastic, i could listen to that on its own.

    Long live the Joke!!

  • When you think back to what COULD have transpired in the '80s (politically, and thermo-nuclearly!), this song is a haunting echo to an era of many changes. What has not changed, though, is the pure strength of this song, with its simple, or better yet...not-so-simple structures and nuances. It is a most welcome friend each time I hear it, even if I personally do not wish to return to the age of my twenties...

  • Great song.

    Nice' anxty' vid too.

Art house.......ish...so many bands in the early 80s were ART students.....

  • really?

    art students?

  • they are playing from their hearts, thats what lacks in todays musicians

  • @poisondripingsword

Bill Hicks: "PLAY from your fucking HEART!!""

    I rest my case.

  • @TheBitterWeed It's just a ride

  • Comment removed

  • @poisondripingsword 70's/80's music fans always come up with this sort of bullshit. maybe that's because no one prefers to give up on this lame nostalgic speech or can't search for good new bands. that's what lacks in 80's fans.

  • @cd8855 haha, you're right, but i'm to young to be nostalgic. Anyway, killing joke plays to this day and their style of music changed drasticly, but they still play from their hearts.

  • @poisondripingsword by the way... i love this song and the 80's too.

  • GREAT

  • where are the drummers who wear gloves these days? This is how it's done.

  • pathos

  • Excellent

  • Jaz look abit like Huge Grant back then.

  • well...i was there when it happened and it still feels like 19years old when i listen those songs.

  • another song that captures the 1980s sound and vibe!

  • Okay, this song rules.

The dark, paced, gloomy athmosphere it breathes.. perfect.

  • temazo este ;)

  • yeah

  • sempre grandissimo pezzo!!!!

  • Try to search this song: Sybreed - Love like blood

  • DWXB 102 MANILA 1987

  • One of the best songs of the 80s!!! Love this song.

  • I totally agree! Put me right back to my late teenageyears - good memories!

  • D Minor 7 sus 4 tuned down 2 semitones.great riff !

  • Plus Paul Raven....cheers To You whereever You are;)

  • My favourite song made by Killing Joke.

  • Do you want a song like it ?

    Th Cure - A forest, for example : it's as good !

  • Ahahhahahahhaha !!!!!!

    On connaît la zizique !!!!

Love like blood est une très grande chanson. Ne compare pas à ça à n'importe quelle merde qu'a fait the Cure. Un peu de sérieux !

  • zut alors claude!

  • oh...the cure are not merde at all, comprendez vous

  • maybe..maybe not

I've heard both and much prefer this song actually

    but thats my personal opinion

  • such a great song. going the listen some birthday party next.

    It's a wild world...

  • Such a great song <3

    Cinema Bizarre's cover isn't also bad n_n

  • I didn't ask you for comment --"

And what do you know about it? I think nothing n_n

  • Paul Raven RIP. Most definitely the band which most influenced my teenage years.

  • I don't think I have ever seeen a camera pan on the drummer for that long in a song EVER in the EIGHTIES!

  • one of my favorite songs of the 80's. either sitting in my room with the blue christmas lights along the ceiling and incense burning, or walking the streets of chicago on a grey, drizzly day. just seeing this video for the first time now.

  • FAVED IT!!

  • Classic 80s video. But no makeup, thank God.

  • Amazing song.

  • Awesome song/group!

  • One of the best written songs of the 20th century...This song never gets old killing joke killer song

  • As a fan of everything from metal to techno pop to 70's acoustic...this band fills in every gap imaginable. I am never NOT in the mood for them.

  • tribal 80 darkwave

  • This is my favorite band of all time........

  • There is something about the vocals, lyrics, and music that over several albums just resonantes still......

  • this song is so hott..

i luv his voice...he's getting me hott

  • 1980's

New Age, Goth / Dark, Experimental Punk?

  • labels for the lose?

  • just simply such weird, perfect majesty in the anarchist pulse here. KJ stepped into a pop realm via stealth. too bad the 'masses' didn't catch on...

  • Good Christ, that's a killer song. Raven and Ferguson sound like they're on strafing runs. This incarnation of the Joke had to be one of tightest units of its time.

  • Jmeister25-"big" Paul is such an underrated drummer! I saw KJ last October and Paul killed it on this song on his Tama set like it was 1984. I was incredibly impressed. Awesome show. Fucking love Killing Joke.

  • Great video. RIP Paul Raven. Speaking of Raven, can anyone figure out the model bass guitar he's using in the video? The headless design leads me to believe it's a Steinberger (which was very in demand around the time of this record), but the body and color throw me off. Maybe a Hohner clone?

  • oh yeah, I cut this up with Motley Crue's "Dr. Feelgood" once... great tune

  • I love this song

  • this is one of the best bands ever if you've heard all of their songs

  • I know this song...very well...but from WHERE? Was it on a beaten up cassette of various tunes that a friend gave me? I've never owned a Killing Joke album...Christ it's doing my head in. ;)

  • How about the 2am alternative rock radio shows, back when radio was a viable medium.

  • Good answer, but I know it wasn't it. This is gotta be from a source I was able to access this song over and over. That bit I remember. ;)

  • Paul Ferguson is amazing in this video

  • this song is almost the cheesiest thing ever, but it manages to avoid it and instead it's the most awesome thing ever

  • reminds me of partying with my friends back in the 80's.......running around New York.....lol.....
