I am a licensed professional civil engineer that is now mowing lawns because the firm I owned could not get anymore work in 2010 and 2011. It just stopped. There were 15 of us that did almost $2 million in billing for 2008. 2011 was $350,000. We had 500+ person firms bidding on jobs we normally wouldn't see them on. Pretty easy to see why with this.

BTW, I don't show up in the unemployment numbers because owners can't take unemployment. I also never stopped working, just changed what I did.
