I was in the seventh grade and living in Hawaii in 1970 when this song became popular on the radio. My friends and I would occasionaly sing this song and even attempt to harmonize. The song is very smooth and relaxing to hear. Brings back a lot of memories.
Larry Rasperry and The Memphis High Steppers returned to the name The Newbeats and picked up quite a bit of airplay.This actually made The Big 30 at The Big 8 CKLW,a totally different approach from Bread and Butter,Breakaway and Run Baby Run,Good band that recorded on the Nashville country label Hickory Records...
