Market Garden was a failure due to poor planning and unrealistic expectations coupled with poor intelligence on the forces facing the allied attempt. Yes, but they didn't want to use the perfectly good American airborne... they waited for their own British regular infantry, instead of moving out with the American airborne troops who had ALREADY LINKED UP WITH THEM. i was not blaming the americans for the screw up on market garden if u read back to my other messages i was simply defending the british and joint command only lasted till D-day + 7 not after to get the rights to command another contries troops would take days maybe even weeks even in a rush that last 10 miles was covered with land mines AT guns tanks infantry in normaly rush hour it takes about 15 minutes for 10 miles in war it takes days

I also believe the canadians wandered into a killbox, didn't tell anyone where they were, and were unfortunately attacked. if anything, the F16 has more engine problems the software problems. And even then the only things that were catastrophic didn't involve software. There were alot of instrument failures in F16As in the early 80s that caused pilot induced loss of control.

The F-16 is extremely safe nowadays, atleast where the avionics are considered.
