Not only do we get Wild Bill's delicious playing and Cat Anderson's intergalactic forays, but we also get to see Duke flat out enjoying himself! THAT'S what it's all about! Until today's players learn to have fun, they'll never be this great!

I saw your video with the Leslie tall boy... I heard Wild Bill used to use two of them when he played in AC and you could hear it from several blocks away. (I'm heavily influenced by his playing by the way... Love hitting on the block chords and really opening up the drawbars to make the Hammond sound like a Hammond(!)

Duke's 70th Anniversery Live in Paris has the band in much better state and direct over head on Wild Bill's solos - - I was very upset when I got this video... Its billed as "ft. Wild Bill Davis" - - but THIS is pretty much THE feature. - - I really wish there was footage of him existing when he used to play in AC and really rocked out ! ! !
