  • No matter the song... Xandria rules!

  • damm they used sitar in this song..cool...but i am sad this band broke up

  • They didn't break up. They just got a new lead singer.

  • wtf for... she was fantastic

  • They 've used it at firestorm as well

    They have a great style.

  • sehr geil! LOVE XANDRIA

  • where are they from?

  • Germany!

  • Wspaniałe... Uwielbiam ich piosenki

  • Beautiful song! :)

  • good stuff from germany! great sound

  • Nice!! I like the song!

    |,,/_ metal rules _\,,/

  • Great "Symphonic/Goth/Metal"!!

  • I would not call this goth. And its absolutley NOT pop... haha! This is Symphonic Metal, but i have to agree, this song sounds a bit gothic.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter, because its great anyway. Xandria is wonderful. I would love to have own one of their albums, but one can't buy them in Sweden i think.

  • You might be able to buy one of their albums from Sonic Cathedral, but I'm not sure.

  • i would say that their music is gothic metal with symphonic elements,an oriental atmosphere and female pop-neoclassical-contemporary vocals!i hope you agree

  • every band that has a dark atmosphere,a frequent use of keyboards, piano parts and choirs have gothic elements, gothick has changed from 80s and 90s,gothick is more about the atmosphere thats why its difficult to say if something is gothick or atmospheric,so for xandria you can say they are goth/rock metal with symphonic elements

  • But Xandria do have a gothic atmosphere, I didn't say otherwise. What they do not have it the "metal part". And gothic rock is a label more applied to bands like Siouxsie and The Banshees, The Cure, bauhaus, and so on, which isn't really the same as Xandria.

So I'd call Xandria a rock band with gothic influences. But not gothic METAL.

  • Its hard to say, Some of there songs are more metal, some are not, and the line between rock and metal is very blury and overlaps at many places, such as nightwish is said to be symphonic power metal, yet alot of there songs wouldnt be considered power metal, or metal at all.

  • isn't all this discussion what "style" a band has nonsens?^^ - i mean common - 1. they sound great no matter what style they are - 2. there is quite no "pure-style" band - even if some of these "trve" guys of the metalheads say so =P

  • @Visse90 Är dåligt att få tag på vissa saker här i Norden :P

  • Xandria is the best :)

  • i hate when people argue over what is goth or good music or what not. if you like it, isnt that all that matters? just listen and enjoy.

  • very nice ;)

  • Gothic metal is good (cz)

  • i don't understand the foulestwitch' point of view...i' m attending a conservatory, i play the piano and, in particular for melody, i have a good ear too. xandria' s melodies are different from pop' melodies that are quite the same in all songs.Pop' melodies are too commercial and i can foresee the next chord in a pop song even if i' ve never listened it.I like metal (talking about Sonata Arctica,Nightwish,Stratovarius,Epica ecc,NOT linkin park ecc) cause its melodies change and are unusual.

  • Exactly. I've been playing flute for awhile, so I think I can have some opinion in this, too. XD

  • XD...anyway W metal, and W xandria

  • YESH!

XD Huzzah for metal and HUZZAH for Xandria! XD

  • most of xandiras music lack a constant melody-

  • Yeah, and that can be a good thing. Just because the melody isn't constant doesn't mean it sucks. That's what's great about gothic metal and the genres related to it.

If you want "bands/artists" that always push out constant melodies... go check out pop. Guaranteed to sound the same every time. =)

  • I have a very good ear for tune & melody, I have made music my life since I was 14. I play the violin.I have taste,u concure as you added one of my videos."Gothic" music today, is far from the classic goth from the 8O's which most bands then had unique artistic sense&melody. There is no such thing as a "gothic" sub culture anymore, its all just a trendy fad.Very similar to emo and pop music. The videos u have on your page resemble pop music more so than mine!

  • Whatever you say. Because, as everyone knows, each person's not allowed to have their own opinion. Why? Because yours is law. *rolls eyes*

And, I can assure you... Kamelot is *not* pop in any way... and don't even try to say that it is... O.o

  • i love Lisa's voice (in fact, she's the only one now who has really good one)wish them all the best!
