That 1000 year rule seems to be your favourite subject eh? We look at it differently, as Persian and then Mughal Rule. There was no 1000 year rule per se, because the Persians and Mughals fought bloody wars between them. It was not a continuous rule but two distinct and mutually hostile ethnic groups who ruled India.
India was properous from Akbar to Shah Jahan. Mughal rule crumbled when Aurangzeb started his Wahabi actions. You cannot rule without local support, which Akbar had.
