This is really well made and nice tutorial and that case is just awesome. Except one thing- you've fucked up a front part so there're some little holes that can be seen around 1:17 but hey! it's just a tutorial :) Well done and thank you. Best regards, Greg
How much do you guys charge for air brushing computer cases? My case is quite a bit larger than the one here, and I would definatley want a much more complex design.
I love this video! Thank you for the trick that made me able to complete my project!
Hm, I was thinking if you could make a video about 'how' you spray basecoat and clearcoat. You say you give it 2-3 layers or something, but to you sand in between?
all series was great, but your bondo skills could be better - i saw huge holes near "what used to be" floppy hole, that is messing up such a nice paintjob, but anyway 5*
A few missed spots with the bondo; but the overall feel of the tutorial vids was really awesome, and the final product was outstanding. I might do something like this on a banged up coolermaster cosmos case i picked up for $50. Nice vid :]
As Tony explained, this series was kind of rushed. He focused more on the painting, wetsanding, and buffing techniques more than filling holes. Another great video, man. Come on over and join us though.. theairbrushforum(dot)com
I wish you made this series sooner...I recently painted a PS2 and a GameCube and it was a Bitch! Now I'm thinking of just shredding off the design and starting all over again with these tricks to make it look better!
Theyre pits in the Bondo, dont think Tony was too worried about them for a demo on an old AT style tower case. If you were doing your own you would use spot filler (red heavy pigment in a tube you spread and sand after Bondo to fill bubbles pits and scratches) before you prime, or use filling primer sanding in between, same as you 'd do for cosmetics on a car body repair. Despite those front blemishes it came out althogether great.
For a matte finish do i leave out the last few steps?

do you really need to clean out your pc? because by the time you put everything together the paint was already dry.

Haha good vids overall, except for those deep ass pits in the front bezel... and the fact that he said 'dinostaur' in the first vid xD

How do you know when to start buffing?
I airbrushed an electric guitar and wet sanded it down to 1500 grit.
It looks foggy now , do I let it dry for a day or two now? I rattle canned clear
coated it again to make it shiny again, not sure if its suppose to get cloudy after
the 1500 grit. Then how long before buffing?

That is the only bad thing i can tell about the case mod. Why didn't you fill the holes before the primer... it wasn't to hard to be done...
The paint job is killer. ;)

is it just me or does the front cover look like it has chips in it that werent bondo'd proply?

Yeah, he's absolutely right. You can really get into the weeds of finishing and making sure everything is completely smooth before paint.
