this song is called korobeiniki. its russian and there tons of versions of this song! the original version is a folk version. i really dont know who played this one.
Hey monge86, any progress on your side? I've been looking for this version for years now and found your vid. But I'm happy, I'm not the only desperate one.
Comrade, in America, you can find a party. In Soviet Russia, the party finds you. Eheh, jk. I will ask some of my Russian friends to identify this version of Khorobushka.
Unfortunately no, but I am expanding my investigation with the assistance of Comrades from the Former Soviet republics of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tadjikistan, Azerbaijan and Armenia. There will be better possibilities of identifying it and possibly obtaining an mp3. I will keep you posted.
its really easy , this song 'korobushka' is an song that is from the (genre) korobeiniki. from russia...
However... you ask who the artist is, probably nobody knows, its an very old folk song (as are all the korobeiniki-songs)! but the lyrics are made up by a poem named Nikolai Alekseevich Nekrasov.
I love the way people just arn't answering the question that has been asked but are truly impressed with themselves. I don't know the answer, however when you find out please post it up, this version is awsome!
Jesus do you guys even read his info? He says he already knows that the original song is Korobeiniki, he is asking for this particular rock arrangement.
korobeiniki doesn't have an artist; it is a folk song. the artist who plays this, though, is hard to find. i looked it up on wikipedia, but it only said that it was a rock rendition used for the theme. nothing stated about n artist, sorry
It sounds kinda like mikhail smirnov but ive never heard this version before nor do i know where to get the full version :(.... try checking the borat DVD in the credits or something.
miii grandpa woul noo but hes in armenia sooo wen da next time i talk to him ill hask if i remember but anyways i love dis song sooo much i bought a gameboy and a tetris game with mii first paycheck!!=D lool i noo im crazyy but wuteva!! =]

I only know that the song/general melody itself is called "Korobeiniki". Wish I knew who the particular artist was, as I'd love to download this myself.
