I think what we miss from this is mccoy, de'forest kelly was really the other part of Shatners and Nimoys personalty in startrek, they spent much of their time on startrek together and now he is missing.
i think interviews would be different if he was still alive, and they may have done more appearances together.
@mikeygoodboi not really, i think actors work on those things and live that experience for such a long time that after it's done they just forget about it and move onto something else. harrison ford only recently got around to rewatching empire so i can understand that idea (if that's how he's looking at if, of course). but even for regular joes like us, there's movies we've loved and know every detail to, but then there's the ones we just looked at and didn't really absorb.
The conflict here is Shatner is a narcissist. I have a relative who's been one his whole life, they value decisions based on how it relates to them. Nimoy is an artist, he has objectivity about his career and didn't plan anything. Shatner's still a little jealous, after all these years and is trying to goade him.
@cireth191 That's been most co-star's impressions of him but I think Shatner has finally evolved into a real actor who can shift gears between roles. Kate Mulgrew and Avery Brooks would be interesting because for the most part, Star Trek was the zenith of their careers while these guys here have a few more things to hang their hats on.
@cireth191 Thats correct! When any one is being is questioned he brings the narrative of the conversation back to himself. In fact he had made sly digs and insinuated things to everyone there throughout the interview!!
@frederikkoeppe ya he is, but it seems like he is quite intelligent, and a lot more appreciative of Nimoy (and others) than I had originally thought. I'm so used to him playing a caricature of himself, that its nice to see the "real" Shatner and for him to change my perception of him.
It takes a special kind of emotional retard not to 'get' Shatner.

You can tell that Lenard and Bill really are such old friends! Lenard kind of tempers the vivacious nature of Bill...really neat to watch.

Worth mentioning is that nobody has mentioned DeForest (Bones) until this clip. part five.

Disturbing that Shatner wold forget that it was Spock that whispered to Bones and not the other way around. He's never watched it!

It's strange that the number 1/equivalent has directed so much. Tuvok done voyager, Frates has directed much, Nimoy directed some.
