Seriously, what's with all the pre-pubescent grade school dropouts trolling about playing a game from 1987, in which there's actual reading involved? If this video bothers you so much, go play Spider-Man 3 on your X-Box while you wait for your testicles to descend.
I prefer "wasting" my time playing an old game that can entertain me than playing a new one that only serves to blind me with it's fucking lighting. Also, learn some fucking grammar, it's "they're". Learn that before you even try to insult others, you fuck-up.
i agree with most of these coments saying old games are more interesting and harder then newer ones... i just can't stand the old fight method of clicking punch or shoot. -_- terribly bland if you ask me
No offense meant but quick question, why do you play games from like 20 years ago? I mean you could buy a decent RPG like one of the newer Elder Scrolls (Morrowind and Oblivion) or a world class game like Fallout 3..
So yeah why Ultima? (or why 20 year old games in general?)
@BloodPigggy Wasteland is indeed better, but you should also try Fallout 1 and 2(not 3) They are rather excellent, and continue wasteland and fountain of dreams.
Morrowind and Obivion are bad choices for RPG. Hell they barely scratch what an RPG really is. I don't know what you mean by "world class", but I assume you're saying that the game's great. I say it's painfully bland.
Want a quick answer? Here's one:
These old games are RPGs to the very core. Nowadays developers just tend to focus on simple and easy games. Try playing any of the old Fallout games without knowing what you're doing; you'll get destroyed. They're harder and more rewarding.

i love Fallout 1-3 + Tactics and any Mad Max esque setting in fiction in general, this looks right up my alley. Awesome.

Also, Morrowind and Oblivion "decent", Fallout 3 "world class".

Sure sounds like a well-planned video series to me, and, as always, I really appreciate the detailed text descriptions.
"Nuke Pooches", by the way? Sounds unpleasant.

Yeah, this game may have a unique setting, but it follows the RPG staple of recycling enemies yet giving them absolutely bizarre names.
It's something Atlus emulated well in The Dark Spire.

So are rats and possums the best enemies to grind on in the earlier levels?
