As an American kid growing up during the 1980's, I was always curious as to what it was really like living in Soviet Russia. Here in America it was all "bread lines and executions" in terms of what we were taught about Russia, but what was it really like? Was it really that bad? Obviously communism is a solid way to destroy a country and its citizens, but I still wonder if the Russian citizens were really as miserable as we here in America were told they were. Can anyone speak from experience?
@ObiTeninch Your an Amerikan. Saying anything to you would just make you deny it.
Example, USSR had it better under Communism (Obvious) then they have under capitalism today.
And no Communism doesn't destroy a country and it's citizens. It promotes and USSR was never Communism, it was Socialism, USSR had Free health care and education and crime was barely 5% compared to the American 30% of crime. Most crime in USSR was driving to fast or drinking related stuff. Barely any murder
@ObiTeninch USSR had it's down turns, Gorbachev in the 80s wanted USSR to be more like Scandinavia, Norway specially. Norway had a Socialist based economy but mixed with Free Marked however state had high influences in the industry still. That's why Pepsi was brought into USSR, so the living style in shorter words. It was okay, it wasn't perfect but it wasn't bad either. No one was poor and no one was rich.
@MrViTopol I always respected the Russians, even when we here in America were supposed to be enemies with them. And while I'm one of those "capitalist pigs," I've always beeen curious as to how life really was over there. So if you could go back to those days, you would?
@MrViTopol Thanks for giving me your honest take on this. Best of luck to you, moi droog.

Хорошее Радио в СССР было. Без долбанного гламура и песни добрые.
