  • Stunning - Classic - Wow - this Northern soul boy loves this - gotta be one of my all time favorite dance tracks - just imagine you've been on the floor for several hours, your legs are cramping up, you've no more sweat to give, it's nearly time to leave and then 'bang' - this track comes on, the hair on your body tingles, your blood flows and you find one more great dance, explosive spins, fast feet, kicks and flicks & above all, massive amounts of passion - that's Northern Soul - thanks Dusty

  • BIG Big Northern soul tune Brilliant soulful voice KTF x

  • What a lady :))

  • 60's icon....k.t.f.

  • Massive sound on the Northern Soul Club scene.........Way to go Dusty

  • till we meet again X

  • This was her first solo single that failed to chart, and that's unbelievable as this song is absolutely brilliant. I love this, thanks for posting.

  • Brilliant, Dusty was a natural soul babe. She was awesome and could tackle any song, still much missed, RIP

  • dusty and liz taylor i will see you soon

  • It's 12 yrs ago today since Dusty left us. RIP X

  • One of my all time favourite Northern tunes, what a beautiful voice Dusty had, the best British soul singer ever.

  • I used to have this in a picture cover.

  • blew me away when l first heard this song by dusty, danced many many a northern nite to this baby.

  • This was a pretty fair hit in the US, but it totally tanked in the UK until the Northern Soul scene. I've always loved Dusty (I'm not exactly sure why), and I had this total crush on a professor ("Dr. Mills") I had who totally reminded me of her. I used to go home from uni every day and play "Losing You" and think about Dr Mills... Go figure!

  • Searched for years for this track and now I've found it. A sond to die for! Awesome

  • wonderful stuff

  • Everything about this - the tune, Dusty's voice, the clothes, the hair, the dancing - is the very definition of fabulous.

  • great song one of the best love it

  • This is fab, very northen soul.

  • PRIOR to Wigan Casino when what many NOW call NORTHERN SOUL, the music we danced to wasn't commercial and so original DJ'S would have been very dubious way back then of playing Dusty. She was an extremely popular artist remember. However this is nearest, and so much nearer than soo much of crap people now post claiming to be N S .. Dusty was incredibly talented and perhaps our loss way back then. THIS TRACK IS CLASS AND 5000*

  • this is class

  • I love how Dusty Dances in this video. IMO she is superior compared to other female singers!

God Bless You Dusty! RIP.. You are So Loved! *)*

  • FORGET ABOUT HELEN OF TROY

  • dusty helping in keeping the faith

  • i'm with gazzah54 on this one!

but why does she look like somebody from pride&prejudice knocking out one of the best soul tunes??

  • nice :) thanks Russ.

Forget the fashion, not ur strong point is it...never even heard of karen millen a couple months ago ?!

BTW My mum always looked like this when i was a kid :D

  • Brilliant (as always) Go Girl X X X Ray♥

  • her best track

  • Such an underrated Dusty track, it should have been a huge hit!

  • "What's it gonna be" was not released in the UK as a single. It was released in the USA and was a hit.

  • Good to hear! I heard a clip from a live performance Dusty gave in the '60s and she introduced "What's It Gonna Be" as a non-hit but still a tune she liked to perform.

  • Another US-only single was "Wishin' and Hopin'". Hard to believe one of her signature tunes was not released as a single in her homeland. Same goes for "To Sir With Love", Lulu's giant US hit from 1967.

  • Another US only single (A-side) was "The Look of Love". What were they thinking in the UK, issuing it as a B-side?

  • "Wishin' and Hopin'" was never intended to be a single - U.S. DJs pushed for its single release. It probably wasn't released in the UK cos it had already appeared on an album. The Merseybeats had the UK hit with it.

  • Yes. In the UK, albums were separate entities from singles. "Wishin' and Hopin'" may not have been a single in the UK, but it was a popular number because she did perform it on "Ready Steady Go" with Martha and The Vandellas.

  • ahhh! it wont load!

  • Rare indeed thank u! :0)

  • Wonderfull. Thank you.

  • My 2nd fav Dusty single. Thanks.

  • whats your favourite? Just curious to know!

  • 'Losing You' from '64.

  • well thats a damn good one too!
