Bruno simply failed for me because it exposed gay sterotypes that people have by acting out those sterotypes. People don't realize they're ignorant because they are seeing their misconceptions confirmed. The movie is also just different variations of the same old tired gay jokes.

Great review, I think I was one of the few people that only this year just saw Borat in July and I think I'll wait that much to see Bruno because there are other new and old movies that I would rather see. I mean who the hell who loves movies wouldn't choose to see a Clint Eastwood marathon or Steven Speilberg marathon than to loose time with this blatant copy of a mockumentary.

Now that's bad even for a spoof and if we are on the subject the guy exploited those uncultured villagers and made them look like savages and were underpaid. How would u like to be underpaid in a firm that makes millions on your account. Oh so it spoofs society, WHAT MOVIE DOESN'T, but this movie it's all that it does.
Bruno was hilarious and shocking. I enjoyed it more than (what I recall of) Borat, because the Bruno character is more 'fun' in a way. Of course there's misanthropy here, but it's for a good cause.... Some of the scenarios are unbelievable. other than you proving your idiocy by not being able to even structure a semi-cogent response, there are many flaws to your argument. first off who the fuck cares if he speaks a different language to his romanian extras? Borat doesn't speak a real language it is a vulgarized yiddish and some gibberish anyway. As for their exploitation, the fact they agreed for a ridiculously low wages and no specific knowledge of the finished movie only shows their lack of thought not cohen's malice.

im pulling two posts for this one. you say all movies 'spoof society'. what the fuck does that mean? borat revealed prejudices in america. is that spoofing society? im not sure but i do wonder if you understand what the word society means.. finally how can you agree with this review if you haven't seen the movie? you need to stfu when it comes to movies because you clearly cannot watch them critically. is that enough elaboration or is that too many big words?

wtf i went and watched bruno last night after watching this review..i do not know what the fuck you are on but this movie had me in tears full on rolling down my face for the whole time.. it was seriously funny.. if you wanna go watch a movie with a in depth story line do not watch this..if you want to laugh your fucken ass off....GO WATCH IT NOW!!

I laughed my ass off at bruno, but borat was a more likeable character, and bruno seems just a bit too staged. but very funny, I would give it 3*, and why is everyone outraged by this review, it what he thinks and what he thinks only he hasn't told you that you're wrong for likeing the movie, has he.

Great review, I think I was one of the few people that only this year just saw Borat in July and I think I'll wait that much to see Bruno because there are other new and old movies that I would rather see. I mean who the hell who loves movies wouldn't choose to see a Clint Eastwood marathon or Steven Speilberg marathon than to loose time with this blatant copy of a mockumentary.

Elaborate or you just like spewing random curse words. I give you one of the flaws that Borat had: his character spoke in one language whilst the villagers spoke another language. Now that's bad even for a spoof and if we are on the subject the guy exploited those uncultured villagers and made them look like savages and were underpaid. How would u like to be underpaid in a firm that makes millions on your account. Oh so it spoofs society, WHAT MOVIE DOESN'T, but this movie it's all that it does.

Bruno was hilarious and shocking. I enjoyed it more than (what I recall of) Borat, because the Bruno character is more 'fun' in a way. Of course there's misanthropy here, but it's for a good cause.... Some of the scenarios are unbelievable. A couple gags run a bit long or fall a bit flat, but overall there's great entertainment and eye-opening value here. Watch my revue at the 'Gab and Dad' channel!
