you don't fucking see this shit anymore. you just don't. i don't care how many "superstars" you have on your team, they don't play 1/4 as hard as these guys did. they mixed amazing entertainment with pure domination in a creative and artful way
People forget that Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman did not play together all the time in that season, In one stretch, pippen was injured, and rodman was suspended for head butting a ref.Jordan was the only one out of the three who played a full season and the bulls still won 72.....#GOAT
harper showed some athletic brilliance sometimes. he used to be great. too bad he was out of his prime when he joined the bulls, never was the same after 1990.
Does anyone have a video of the BULLS at KNICKS game 01-23-1996, the bulls won the game 99-79 to go 35-3 at the time. If anybody has a video of this game, can you please add it to you tube.
I need to look if they have a DVD on this, I think NBA coaches should use this as a mark for there team to strive for. In this game you see that everyone had been practicing outside of the game, they made their shots, and they played defense. If ever there was similarity to a 16-0 season in football this is it. Jordan took the backseat while Pippen was on the floor because he knew he could score whenever. Another sign of a great player, textbook definition of a great team in rhythm.
7:48 - 8:02 Rodman totally controlled that sequence. First he grabbed the rebound, then gave the outlet pass for a quick break, which didn't work. As a trailer, he sets up the offense again, and once he gives the ball back to MJ he knew he was gonna get that backdoor pass, and he finishes the play AND gets the foul. Most of the time, people don't realize how much court vision this guy had. HALL OF FAME
Amayzing. I know Jordan was the obvious leader of the team but Scottie Pippen was the perfect compliment to Jordan. Without Scottie Michael would have won a championship but I just don't see him winning 6 without Pip. I also have to say if you were a Knicks fan 1990-2004 it was a good time to be a Knicks fan. Man I miss this area of NBA ball.
Also the Coach of the Year Award for Phil Jackson that year. All these years he coached through his coaching career, that is the only COY Award he has on his resume to go along with many rings. I liked him better as a Bulls' coach rather than Lakers'.
mikey was suprerman....scottie was batman....dennis was rod-man...lol.
maun when you look at pippen you can see that guy didn't have a weakness to his game....i can't think of anything he couldn't do.....the ultimate basketball player....the guy even shot backboard shots for crying out loud, lol.
Watching Pippen play defense here 5:44 is just as good as watching him on offense. His defense on Ewing was awesome as well. It just wasn't fair to the league to have Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman on the same team defensively. Jordan's scoring prowess was awesome but it was Chicago's defense more than anything that killed teams.
That's how defense is supposed to be played. The game is so pussified these days with ticky tack touch calls it's pathetic.
Imagine if the Spurs could have controlled Rodman. A frontline of David Robinson and Rodman would have been sick if they could have kept that team together.
I'm a Celtics fan but the 2012 Bulls look like the best team this year. Best depth, passing, chemistry, etc.

@bojan0911 except so far Pippen is a tad bit more clutch and had better defense (regardless of LeBron's awesome chase down blocks)

Bulls won these gamed because of Phil Jackson at the helm. What a coach

@fridogg I'm pretty sure Phil wasn't out there physically battling a tough Knicks team, and knocking down big shots at the end of the game
