  • Starlings are horrid creatures. Beaks of death is right, with claws that go with it. In the US theIR swarming flocks love airports so they're also an aviation danger.

  • Love the comment 'baiting to shoot birds is illegal' what rubbish. Iv always scattered grain etc to bait or lure pigeons. Vermin ate vermin and as long as its legal quarry & dispatched cleanly then all's good to me

  • Too bad we can meet up and hunt these things in the U.S. I think it wold be lot's of fun. I'm also thinking about getting a better BB gun just to be able to shoot these better.

  • loved the one where you woke up the dog

  • Pmsl, its awsome how they just fall backward like they been knocked out in the ring

  • Are you in the UK even in 1998 baiting to shoot birds was illegal in the UK.

  • @hhedleym97 Not the UK, this video was shot in the USA. Starlings are an invasive species here, they kill native birds and are classified as pests, like rats.

  • i agree with you guys but off that subject quickly does the air arms rifle perform well and what calibre do you have ?

  • stone dead! good stuff.

  • Nice job. I kill starlings and sparrows as often as I can.

  • Great work... kill them all!

  • Keep up the good work! Great video...keep at those Starlings!

  • You cant shoot these birds in England but over in the US you can obviously but i still think its wrong in ways them birds are harmless you care for song birds but your killing other birds to let them live longer when the song bird barely lives anyway its a weak bird starlings own them.

  • @POTMONI leave him alone..... like he said they are pests. and if ya wanna send spam to som1 send it to me! i shoot crows with airsoft as they eat our hen feed!

  • what you using for bait...May set up a similar setup

  • @MADtrippin It's a seed and suet mix. I used cheap generic birdseed, mostly millet I'd say, and rendered beef fat. I just melted the fat on the stove and poured it over birdseed in a plastic bag lining a square plastic container. I stirred it up a bit to make sure the fat got in to the corners. Then, 20 minutes in the freezer and it's ready to go.

  • Even though in the UK there are protected people got to understand that in other countries if they are a pest to the local/native then their numbers are going to be controlled. At least the person behind the trigger can shoot and not one bird filmed here suffered. ALL head shots and very clean kills. I for one clobber any grey squirrel every time I get the chance. They are not native to the UK and have nearly destroyed our native Reds. So I can see where he's coming from.

  • this guys nut`s should be in that bird feeder

  • @meat52689

Hey meat, This is in the US not the UK and it's pest control, not sport. Starlings are pests in the US. You can't trap or poison them like you can mice or rats because that may hurt good birds. Baiting and shooting them is a safe option for native birds.

  • That is very good shooting at 35 yards! What scope did yo use? thanks

  • @8wealthyone8

Bushnell 4-12 50 AO with BDC

Translation for the uninitiated - Bushnell Brand 4 power to 12 power zoom scope with 50 millimeter Adjustable Objective lens and Bullet Drop Compensator. The adjustable objective allows you to focus at various distances and read off on a scale on the scope how far away the target is. The bullet drop compensator is just some horizontal lines on the reticle (cross hairs) that allow you to adjust your aim for projectile drop at various ranges.

  • shooting birds out of a feeder.......very sporting

  • @FloridaRaider

It's pest control, not sport. Starlings are invasive pests in the US.

Shooting them is a safe option for native birds. Once you shoot the Starlings and House Sparrows on your property, you will see many more species of birds at your feeders. You will also save native cavity nesting songbirds from death or brood disruption by these pests. Do a little research.

  • Did you remove the dead birds, or did the starlins keep coming regardless?

  • @Infiltrator2K

I removed the birds to keep the cat from grabbing them and getting unknown parasites or diseases. The starlings did not seem to be put off regardless. House Sparrows (another pest species in the USA) on the other hand become wary when you whack a few of them.

  • How would i attract magpies into my garden ?

  • @600bonkers

I don't know. If your intent is to shoot them, the first thing I would do is to see if that is wise and legal in your area. I would also get a birdwatcher field guide to make sure I'm positively identifying them. That said, they are in the crow family, so maybe tossing some small road kill in your garden would do the trick. The missus may have an opinion on that I'd guess.

  • why watch this video as if someone made you do it then talk shit??? anyone who is against this video after willingly watching it and what it contains has no life, likes to cause drama, imature, stupid, and just plain sad, and for that i will forgive your lack of any intelligence so i will make sure to shoot a couple just for you people! ;o)

  • LandoBri, The ol' TX is one of the finest spring powered air rifles made. I love the way it turns those flying vermin into lawn darts! I love my air rifles and those filthy yellow beaked bastards are my favorite targets. Ever since I have been controlling the population in my immediate area, all my song birds have come back. Was that vid shot all in one day? Don't pay any attention to the others...if they were so worried about protecting them in England then they should have kept them there.

  • @9Mrod

They were shot over the period of three weeks or so. I set up the camera for the cat to have something interesting to watch on TV. The cat loved it and would attack the birds on the TV screen and try to sneak up on them from behind the TV, hilarious. . We noticed that most of the birds on the TV were Starlings or House Sparrows. I did a little research, taught my kids to recognize the bird species on the TV and took out the pest birds. The song bird population exploded after that.

  • @9Mrod

Amen brother. Love my TX and the variety of birds we have now.

  • why dont you just set up a target instead of shooting birds?

  • @zemoyerz

P.S. Sounds like there is not much going on in the Antilles.

  • @LandoBri You're right ! not much going on indeed. We are BLESSED looks like you have all problems ! this one and AAAAAALLLLLL the rest....! "America America"

  • @POTMONI their trash birds they will rip plastic open and terrorize native birds

  • Comment removed

  • @POTMONI Taking lives for fun? You bet. I do too. Using food as bait is very effective, don't you think? How else would he be able to attract pest birds and eliminate them? BTW, do you kiss your mom with that filthy mouth?

  • @POTMONI y the fuck are u watching this for if u dont like it fuck off and let us do what we do

  • Good shooting dude

  • Wow, prunaca and TheBuster, please get your facts straight before commenting. Starlings are classified as an invasive pest species in Missouri and the rest of the continental USA. Starlings and House Sparrows cause the deaths of untold numbers of natve songbirds every year in North America. There are no US laws protecting starlings and all state conservation departments encourage their control so that native bird species can recover from starling depredations. Wake up and do some research.

  • Sorry landobri, didnt realise you where in the usa.there not a pest in the uk where i come from.great guns the tx200,i have the mrk2,its a wee bit on the heavy side, but reeks of class.again my mistake

  • you had nothing better to do on the last day of the year, upload videos like this? you know that what you did is illegal!

  • this is not pest control!! you are baiting the birds in your garden, and as far as i know starlings are not classed as a pest, and you should be arrested you idiot,no wonder airgunners get a hard time.

  • its not illegal they are known to be common pests you spoon!

  • starlings are protected under the wildlife and countryside act 1981,which makes it illegal to intentionaly kill or injure them.the provision to control them under a general licence was removed from the act in 2005 in england, making the starling fully protected in england, but as the video was shot in the usa it will differ from state to state, but as you are from the uk this law covers you,get your facts right you spoon

  • i live in America you fag, get your facts right!

  • why are you regesterd in the uk in your profile then?just another keyboard gangster.whats wrong?ashamed of your country.look it up on the r s p b.or can you just make rude insults like a small boy.
