Hahahaha, boy do I ever wish I could be a teen now,but not for the 'music',simply coz I'm 50,& don't wanna be 50,lol! But yeah,I know what you mean. It's good you have family who can show you what it was all about musically back then,& that you've got an appreciation of the music from that period.Just keep tapping for foot to the sounds, lol!
Saturday Night Fever was 'hardly as prodigious an artistic achievement as those precursors'?!? I think it is the equal of any of them, even Sgt Pepper's.
Where will lil wayne, lady gags, drake ect. Music b in 50 years? No actually even 5 years? Forgotten! Not to hate on em, much respect they made their $ , although their were most lickly already rich before..
@elpajaro21 Only a idiot says something like that. Everyone has dif. taste in music. people aren't deficient in intelligence just because they like or dislike certain music genres. Grow up. As long as theres a dislike button theres a chance it's going to get clicked. If you can't deal with it then get off of youtube. Because I'm really sick of whiny intolerant jerks like you insulting whoever differs in musical taste from you ppl like you are so annoying just go somewhere and die!
When I was a little girl, I would spin around to this song. I would dance so hard. If only, I knew how fab i was then. Your parents tell you but you never believe it. I was so free to this song. I wouuld get so dizzy and fallout in the lr floor. Great memories. it was great to learn how great a musician she is. She played Mary Mag in Jesus Christ SuperStar. I Don't Know How To Love Him was so awesome by her!
Another gem from the 70's the great Yvonne Elliman with this interpretation. Originally written by the Bee Gees her interpretation became arguably the best version. Just awesome.
this one of my favorite songs from the movie. i wish i had the soundtrack, but i bet u a hundred bucks i will have to order it offline, which is really sad. they don't sell all the good music in stores.
Was a teen in the '70s so this is always gonna be up there with my favourites.A totally different era, musically,& for me the best of times, even when I was getting my heart broken, lol. And how many times do you get your heart broken as a teen, lol.? But we could always rely on songs like this to cry to & see us through!
@love182427 HAHAHA! You don't have any idea how much that irks me too. People are never gonna learn that nationality and ethnicity are different things.
Ooooo..... Heard this song on Big Daddy.... And was like, "Omg, I love this song".... So I downloaded it lol..... I'm trying to round up heaps of old songs that I listened to when I was growing up and just bring back old memories hehe....
@azaraangelwings11 lol, i knew this song already but i forgot it´s name... then suddenly i heard this song in the afternoon on big daddy´s movie, haha and i have to do a lot of research to get in here.!!!!!
Use spell check to spell " Mcdonalds"? Not only are you a dumbass, you are a jackass honky! I will not waste anymore of my time responding to a complete moron and a fool.
Thats a great song. And it remins me of the first time i fell in love. For real. Great music. Great nights out. Great talks. laughs and friends. Just a great time to be alive. Oh yea and did i mention it was only fours years ago. Yup i still love 70s music even though i was born in the 80s. Love this song.

In the '70s, I was part of the US culture war of Disco v. Rock. "Disco sucks!" was the battle cry. I could never admit it but I loved this song.
The majesty of that French horn, the perfect and soulful orchestration. Yvonne's sincere, tear jerking voice sounded like a genuine plea.
Decades later, I laugh at the fuss that a bunch of kids made over something as trivial as a music trend. Btw, it reminds me of a cursh I had in HS.
Thanks for uploading this song. It means a lot
