ummm ! not convinced , timing all out, no synchronicity, sounds like summat my teenage sons are currently churning out and they have only been playing for 6 months!!
even if you listen to the very early 70s stuff they were much tighter than this.
i might be wrong but this does not sound like the Glers to me, maybe some dirty imposters lol.!!!
Sounds like they've all had their hands gaffer taped to their feet, & they're trying to play each other's instruments, whilst ripped to the tits on hot-knives!
To suggest that this is The Stranglers is to underestimate their musical prowess & playing abilities.
The drum sound is similar to the Linndrum that Jet used in the 80's, but other than that and the dubbed-over tape of Paul Roberts talking, this bears absolutely no resemblance to the mighty Men In Black. Not to these ears anyway!
I can understand why it sounds late 70's. That's because its a version of 'White Wedding' from their 1974 surrey sessions that never made rattus. i will probably post this sometime in the future
I like this one a lot. Classical Stranglers, even sounds as it comes from the late 70ies, early 80ies of the band. Weird and cool. More of these songs please. Does need a proper release, at least as a b-side of the next single...
This song is called white wedding which is A very early demo they recorded..
but this is modern recording..

Absolutely not The Stranglers, but a good sound nonetheless. How odd to try and pass it off ...

After some investigation this track is not a Stranglers track, more likely a fake - although a very good one.

What is this??? Jesus, it's very psychedelic, no? Who's talking over it at the start? Is it Paul? Very interesting. Thanks for sharing, sweetie!
