  • I loved the video. I'm from Brazil, I was very curious in that the woman ultilizar tool to put the nipple, what kind of tool would be? an electric screwdriver with a magnetized screwdriver tip? grateful

  • i want pro lite allein :<

  • Wow impressive! I think i'll order a set of gavias

  • Bought a pair of comos for my bike, had just got it up and running and someone steals my back wheels :(

thats the problem with buying nice things, more likely to get stolen.

  • I bulit up a Pro-Lite "Espresso" T.T bike using 10s Ulterga and the medium 30mm profile LUCIANO wheels.

They are superb wheels and really fly along, plus they have stayed perfectly true and are stiff&lightweight (within their price bracket).

A sexy looking hand built wheel and great value compared to the other brands, what more could a cyclist ask for. I'm a HUGE Pro-Lite fan, many thanks :))

  • @leebones100 Thanks for your comments, if yu have any pictures of you with the bike send them to keiran@pro-lite.net, you never know what he might send you in the mail as a thank you

  • Hi Pro-Lite, I would like to aquire a dishing tool like the one used in the video. Can u purchase one from you guys or let me know where to get one. Thanks

  • @wheelbuilder Sorry to say but I think the cost of shipping it to you would be very expensive, what country are you in ?

  • Hi, I live in Reno Nevada 89503 U.S.A, I noticed two dishing tools and i am interested on the first one shown with the loops on the ends. Very nice. Thanks and let me know.

  • Just bought the Padova and I'm loving it!!!

  • Just BRILLIANT and i love how you bed the wheels in

theres nothing worse than new wheels only for them to

be out of true with in a couple of hours of riding.

    Keep it up guys.

  • this is amazing, u guys r amazing, this is true craftsmanship. Now if we can get every bike company to do quality work like this

  • Hi proliteboss, I have just ordered some Pro-Lite Como's. This video has installed confidence that they will be a great set. I hope they perform well. Thanks for the great bike components Pro-Lite!

  • This has helped me choose my new wheels. Pro-Lite for me. Thank you for the video.

  • Dear Proliteboss, i want to build a single speed free-wheel bike ..and absolute show stopper.. think ferrari of bikes. purely for commuting from home to work, no racing no TT's...

i would like to know if the rims in this article are sturdy, durable and capable of meeting my requirements.

  • think of Breitling not Swatch, then think of Pro-Lite not other machine built wheels

  • @proliteboss, it is a beautiful video demonstration of perfect manufacturing technique. I am a former concert piano technician/tuner. I particularly like the spoke tension gauge. The entire process you share is inspiring and beautiful. Thank you. Reid Welch ( see 'Stout Theremin' at YT to see me)

  • Go for Gavia or Vicenza wheels. Strong as hell and fast.

We have one guy in Australia who rides a Trentino for singlespeed and loves it. He loves the aerobuster for the tricks he does with it.

  • thanks i love the wheels i just got mine yesterday it feels realy awsome!!

    i would recommend this!!

  • Send us some pictures of you using the wheels and we will send a little thank you for your efforts.

    Steve

  • i will so take many pictures of the wheels on my bike but i need to get pro lite allein - ALL IN price of 220 with delivery is it possibles? @proliteboss

  • I wish I could afford those wheels!

  • things made in Taiwan are completely different from things made in China. Don't compare apples with oranges

  • god... i bought a set of wheels made in the USA from a company i won't name but it came to me dented and unbalanced. you guys seem to have much superior quality control. keep up the good work guys =)

  • So far, I have heard absolutely nothing bad about them. Some have even commented that they spin up as fast as ceramic. They will probably be my next set. My only concern is servicing the hub. I imagine it requires factory tools that are not available to the consumer, but my past experience with much of the chinese/japanese stuff is that it usually doesnt require proprietary tools that much shimano and such do, not just talking about hubs.

  • we have a full service centre that can repair or service wheels from anywhere in the world in 3 working days. I can also count on one hand the number of warranty problems we get in a year. Feel free to contact me personally with any questions

  • Now I feel that is impressive, the fact that reply to a comment on youtube for your own product! If I commented on Mavic I bet I would not get a reply in 100 years, not to take anything away from Mavic, because typically they have any excellent product and its all I use on my MTBs, but it shows something about Pro-Lite as a company and consideration for the customer. I most likely will be building a Ti. bike next year with some Pro-Lite components!

  • josh we are a very down to earth real people company, I dont pay big riders or teams to use our products and much prefer to have real people like you put their pictures on our website and we will send a little thank you for sending us the pictures, the best customers in the world are the ones who actually buy their own products, right its almost 11pm here in the office time I went home

  • Very cool! Well, it will probably be a months from now, but I will do! I just like using a different product than everyone else..you see 100s of ppl all wearing specialized all riding tarmac/rubiaux with Mavic Kyrium, and I mean its for good reason, but the smaller companies tend to care more about the consumer and their concerns than the bicycle giants, and that is piece of mind.

  • josh - cermaic bearings have a greater resistance than angular contact bearings and I think it is the power of marketing that has people thinking they are better than normal bearings. I have friends who work in Moto GP and discussed this a number of times, they find it very funny that cyclists thinks ceramic bearings make you go faster, well they do once you get over 16000 rpm

  • wow pretty wild

  • glad you like it - we do

  • cool thank you for posting

  • you mean what are the disadvantages to a wheel that is handbuilt by people that are trained for 6 months, that are tensioned and bedded in, and checked repeatedly on high precision gauges?

... and that cost around half of some of the big name top end wheels?

    I don't know...

Check out Cycling Plus magazine for this month with a big batch wheel review for all the best stuff out there. They couldn't find any real disadvantages either.

  • I race pro-lite 50's and adore them, plus they look cccrrraaaazzzyyy good on my bike

  • I'm using a 50 front 90 rear pro-lite combo right now and I love them!

  • Considering a pair of Stelvio's for my roadbike.

    nice video!

  • Send us a picture of your bike with the wheels we will put it on the website

  • Wow! Really impressive. I would buy these wheels in a heartbeat. Nice video too.

  • I have hand built a lot of wheels. And am a machinist.

Those are nice tools and gauges.

    Nice video.

  • Thanks for your kind words we aim to please
