@electricgirlfriend, A calm will descend and theirs peace at the end of the darkest night......It means it's gonna be ok even if you don't know the meaning to everything.........
@jghshark LOL i remember John playing this song 3 times in a row one day, in between talking and taking calls on how good of a song it was......its awesome
Boz being Boz- haven't heard this song since it briefly hit the charts in the nineties and then went into virtual obscurity; glad I found it- another classic from a great artist!!
this song was played at my aunts funeral, and ever since then being the first time that i had heard it ,i can not stop playing it ... I want it played at my funeral ..cheers
Australian radio host John Laws played this song non stop when it was released. For some reason, Laws had a habit of playing relatively obscure songs like this but never revealing the name of the performers,I was surprised when I learned it was Boz Scaggs.
@hiptoeknee I remembered my dad recorded one of the lawsie programs, he left the mike on a started singing to it. Lol i was wonderin who was singing in the background to it.
This is the song I heard on Second Noah at age 19. A family drama on ABC filmed in my hometown of Tampa Florida. It got me into Boz and 13 years later he's still my favorite of all time.
I never heard this either, til line dancing many yrs ago. It's been one of my favorite songs since hearing it. I no longer dance, but listen to this on my IPod ALL the time.
I don't ever recall it being released, during the Boz years?! It's a beautiful song and hard to find. Thanks for posting it.
Been looking for this song for sooooo long. Thanks for uploading. Love this song so much. Most enjoyable 3 minutes of guitar playing I can do. Glad I learnt to play it, just wish I had the Boz's voice. Thats what seems to make it!!
Hi Ausdude, can you give me some advice on how to play this, I too love the song sooo much. its awesome and I have tried playing the song in GCDD7, It sound repetitive when I strum it, any ideas??
This has always been one of Boz's best tunes. It's got a bit of a Cajun flavor and beat, with the accordion. Thank you for posting this in GOOD quality!!! Lifts my heart every time I hear it.

This sounds so much like Ry Cooder's style of music. Did the session musos work with Cooder as well as Scaggs?
(It's great, by the way!)
