  • Caterpillar did an awesome job with their ACERT technology, revolutionary if i must say!

  • @Mcapple94

and what does ACERT stand for or better yet...what actually makes up the ACERT technology?

  • Just another vid of the same old thing looks like u want the deere to win probably the same operator too that does not like cat... it has been tuned down more than likly and the deere has been tuned way up and and ur not even pushing hard with the cat stupid vid to compare the best vs the worst worst bein the deere stick to makin farm trackors and backhoes its what u r good at dont try to hang with the cat dozer nobody can

  • @dereksandstrom1

the sad thing is that neither tractor is "tuned" up or down. The Cat just really performed THAT bad. I find it so funny that people are so dumbfounded by the mystical name "Caterpillar" that even when a tractor completely falls on its face when compared head to head and its even captured on video they find other "excuses" on why the Cat still won. LOL

  • all i have to say is caterpillar is with out a doubt more american made than that deere ever thought of being . Lets also look at how long each of the dozers will last how many D6's do you still see running? and how many 850K's do you see running? over time the dozers prove them selves. i have run cat and komatsu and i would rather push a cat or komatsu than run a deere !!!!

  • @pstroker97

I'm not sure how the D6 is "more" american made than the Deere. These tractors are build 170 miles apart. The Cat in Peoria IA. The Deere in Dubuque IA. The 850 has gained a lot of ground in the last 10 years on the D6 and pasted the Komatsu. You don't do that unless the tractor is built to perform and last. This shows why folks are leaving the D6 every day.

  • @jeepncj well then why is the D6 the top selling and and longest lasting most dependable dozer on the market ? I will give the 850K this it does out preform the new Komatsu thats for sure . On the other hand there is no reason to buy a deere over anything else it is no cheaper to maintain and keep up than anything else. It will be cheaper to maintain than the cat will be. I know that out of the 10 major construction companies where i live one has a 850K and it breaks down all the time.

  • deere all the way!!!

  • it looks to me like you want the deere to be your winner. enjoy.

  • The CAT moved far more dirt!!! far more!!!!

  • @MrBigleaguer1

if that is true it also took twice as long to do it

  • arnt the 850 deeres almost between cat D7 and D8?

  • you should have a 700h compared with the d6.

  • la diferencia esta en la rueda cabilla ,que el cat d6 es elevada del suelo y tiene dos ruedas guia, deere usa el sistema mas comun para el tren de rodage , otra diferencia es sin duda el pre io cat es de las mas caras

  • You do know the only way to tell which dozer is moving more dirt is to cross section it, and i bet you the cat wins hands down!

  • @Vapor300

you are correct in that the only way to really know is to section the dirt out. we did it here, measured the volume of the piles and then re-measured the material spread. as slow as the T4 interim D6T is here...there isn't any way it was winning. I respect your opinion if you think Cat is a better machine, but based on the facts here...it is not. No doubt the 6R and 6T tier 3 were strong but this thing...no way!!

  • Deere RULES

  • @fishproet I cant get parts for my 750 :( Deere says only have to offer parts for 10 years...

  • @copperheadmarine I`d have to assume that 10 year policy is the same here in B.C.Brandt is 5 minutes away and never had any problems getting parts for my 35D when I had it. I sold the Deere and bought a larger Volvo ecr58 mini with low hours from the U.S. for a good price.Great west equipment(one of our volvo dealers) is also only 5 minutes away as well but imnot happy with them for various reasons. Now I`m looking to replace it with 2008 or 09 pre tier 4 305ccr Cat mini.Finning is 5min away too!
