cont... To oversee some of the production of more than 12 tracks. This being just 1 of them. This track was done in a single take, and Kylie's vocals were pitch perfect as always.

There's no auto-tune or any alteration of any kind that usually has to be done with other contemporary singers. What you hear is exactly what she sang like... A producer's dream to be sure. Her voice is more powerful than you can imagine, and the 2 backing vocalists are just that. Purely as low volume backing. No more.

EVERY artist, in EVERY studio, in EVERY part of the world uses either a earpiece or usually headphones (check out the musicians), otherwise they couldn't hear themselves. Each headpiece is attuned to the remaining vocals/music in the room so that everybody's in time with each other.

In addition, try to imagine the volume on an 18-piece orchestra backed up by drums and electric and acoustic guitars. It'd be deafening for everyone in there. How would she sing?

Kylie usually wears specially made headphones when she's in a studio environment as normal size one's are way too big for her, but as this was being video'd, she chose a earpiece instead (as did some others).

I've just come on here to see how this video was being received, and I've noticed just 1 or 2 keyboard warriors on here who try to make out that they know quite a lot about the way in which this track was produced and vocalised. I can tell instantly that they neither have any real knowledge of the recordind/mixing process, and certainly nothing about the lady herself.

I work for the BBC and sometimes Parlophone, and was brought to the Abbey Studios for 3 weeks... cont.

@cutelionx you're right and that's what i'm talking about. i like this hi-tech produced product called Kylie. even this abbey road sessions. i just can clearly see & hear she uses all her tricks to sound 'real', while it's all producers' work, multiplying her voice & adding voice effects to it. although it's fake & just pretends to be 'acoustic' i still like it's final shape. what annoys me are ppl here who say she's a great underrated singer/artist. she's a brand of her crew good campy work.

@mickeyb29uk watch closely bbc radio sessions - she starts the song, first few lines, more speaking than singing, but in chorus line what you actually can hear are the voices of her two backup singers,one with kylie-a-like voice and second who adds deeper sound. no kylie's there. pretty same thing is used in every song line, kylie starts singing line (first few words) but at the end of every line (last words) backup singers join her & cover her tiny voice.it only looks as if it was kylie singing

@OkamiNuka the lines without background singers are don't sound any worse than with them ... usual when high produced she got her own voice in 3 layers at some parts - of course than she got a 3 voice thing. Sound like more because it is more ... that doesn't make her voice herself bad at all ... and it even ain't just allways the first lines but big parts she sings on her own. I like that ones more, than with the 2 other voices in background. But it's true, it's easy to miss the background.
