  • hey man I use reason 5 I hav a lot of samples on my flash drive but I cant open then dr.octo rex.can u show me how to do it. thanks

  • @Tshaynyb1 Dr. Rex modules can only play special types of loops designed for Reason called REX loops. As long as they're .wav of .aif files, load them into Kong or Redrum if they're individual drum hits or NN19/NNXT if they're loops.

  • I like this tutorial but please move slow. you lost me at the part in the beginning of the vid where you said load up the patch. what did you click at 0:22? pls move slower i am extremely new to reason 4

  • aww man, reason sucks, theres absolutely no freedom, you can only use loops, u cant create your own drum beats, you cant completely customize a sound and not to state the obvious but NO VST'S!!!

  • @ComedySoldiers What are you talking about! yes you can i do it all the time

and the sounds are great in reason especially if You have alot of refills

  • @ComedySoldiers have you ever used reason? it's probably the best program of its kind out there. yes you can create your own drum tracks manually. reason is practically all about customizing sounds and making your own. you dont need vst's in a program like this. they would be deemed useless as the program has everything. even if you want to use a vst, you can just bounce the track down and import it into your DAW.

  • @dan24591 or if you have pro tools/ logic youcan just rewire reason into it and use the whole program as a vst in protools/logic....now thats power

  • @ComedySoldiers you are obviously retarded

  • @AsianChixRHott Lol he most certainly is. I cant stand people that think reason is garbage. I work in a reasonably big studio and would not be able to do what i do without reason.

  • @musiquemeltdown no way will reason eva be better than FL or cubase the one reason is becoz reason cant load VST's.

  • @YoungGunnRecords matter of opinion i used fl and it was pooor when i started using reason i came out with beats 10x better

  • i make all my music on reason too...and im about to get signed to a label, not to be bragging or anything, but im sure a lot of people can learn from me and they can give me some tips as well. but i would like to make video tutorials of my stuff. how do i make a video like this?

  • what do you mean "about to be signed to a label"? Which label still signs artists? I thought that most of them just makes a deal for a track or two (at leas this is my experience on this).

  • @damnationdefied777

    i agree 100% hommie

  • good looking

  • lol reason is alot easyer than fl

  • I think Fl is easier to use, i just installed Reason , it looks like a puzzle compared to Fl.

  • Once you get the hang of it, its so much better than fl. Trust me, I know what youre talking about. But thats the thing with fl, its user friendly which is great, but its low quality. You can millions of more things on reason much easier.

  • u cant make this beat unless you pay i can give people the things to do the dirty souh drops

  • what progrram did you use to record the screen?

  • Hey can anyone give me tip or two in regards to adding that nice scratchy sound you hear when you play old vinyl records to a track or instrument. Lol please don't just say "use Scream" it doesn't produce the results I'm looking for : /

  • I use Reason 4...this guy is a genius to be using it through the sequencer and adding in the midi notes with the mouse...that shit is hard as fuck

  • lol its hard at first but you really do get used it after a few weeks - or even months

  • it's easier to draw stuff in than it is to play them

  • this is excellent. thanks,

  • anybody knows how to quantize those dirty south hi hats????im new in reason help me out please!!!!!

  • Ctrl Click shows a menu

  • Ctrl+k autoqunatize... or use the tool window to manually qunatize.

  • excuse me primeloops do you know of any way to convert reason sound files to mp3 for something like my space?

  • Export file as Aiff file then go into itunes and convert it to MP3

  • My opinion is, reason is the best music program ever, but it sucks ass that noone or documentation can tell how to get started XD, i searched for about 2months now, havent learned one single thing in any tutorial, because all think you know what all means from start :S

  • Hey dude i got the demo of the loops but they aint showin up in the dr. rex wen im tryna select em. the folders r empty. doi have to change the .wav to .rx2 or somethin?

  • yup Dr. Rex will only use Rex files. Use Recycle to change WAV files to Rex files.

  • have any of your loops sounds etc. been in any industry beats

  • Is this Dirty South Drum Loops also available in Reason Drum Kit Refill

  • how do you get those dirty south loops?

  • great video

  • thank you

  • You're' Welcome!

  • where did u get all the dirty south drum loops man? are they already in the reason bank

  • The Drum Loops are from our 'Dirty South Drum Loops' available in Reason Refill format. See the website! Enjoy!
