Also, when you refer to a "codon" what is being referenced is the process of translation (DNA-->Protein), which audible sound has no effect on either. **Even if it did,** the human genome (haploid/diploid) has 3million/6million nucleotides, which means that it would have 1million/2million codons. There is literally a better chance of being hit by lightning (1/1,000,000), than targeting the correct codon you want to "open"
@ouivalerie there really isn't such a concept. at least how it is being presented in the video. DNA is a double helix which has to be "unzipped" in order to access the nucleotide sequence. Look up the processes of "transcription" and "translation". Sound has zero ability to travel through a vacuum because audible sound is a pressure wave and requires a medium dense enough to conduct it. Audible sound has zero ability to affect your DNA. Sorry guys, it's bogus. Also, when you refer to a "codon" what is being referenced is the process of translation (DNA-->Protein), which audible sound has no effect on either. **Even if it did,** the human genome (haploid/diploid) has 3million/6million nucleotides, which means that it would have 1million/2million codons. There is literally a better chance of being hit by lightning (1/1,000,000), than targeting the correct codon you want to "open"

@ouivalerie there really isn't such a concept. at least how it is being presented in the video. DNA is a double helix which has to be "unzipped" in order to access the nucleotide sequence. Look up the processes of "transcription" and "translation". They are incredibly detailed, require multiple proteins and enzymes and are highly orchestrated processes that cannot be run simply "by sound"

Sound has zero ability to travel through a vacuum because audible sound is a pressure wave and requires a medium dense enough to conduct it. By definition, a vacuum has no particles and therefore no means by which to conduct sound. Perhaps I am not the one in need of remediation?

Either way, atomic vibration and sound vibration are two very, very different things. When you attempt to forcibly vibrate molecules at the atomic level, that's what cooks your food in a microwave oven. So even if sound did what you claim, (which it doesn't) the force would be destructive. (Unless you think sticking your head in a microwave is a good idea)
