Since my comment got taken off I'll just make my point in less aggressive terms. Please know that Emma Thompson is entirely mistaken about the Isle of Wight, a point she has stated herself. It is a fully integrated county of England with only the odd trivial by-law, and has a positive attitude towards homosexuality, probably better than most of the country. She later said she was referring to the entirely different Isle of Man, although they've now overturned their anti-homosexuality laws.
