BTW,they planned for 6 episodes. That was shaved to 3, because they wanted to end it before the merger. Now Nintendo has the rights for Xenosaga,which makes me a little sad on the inside.

@zeonfollower Actually, Xenoblade came out. Unfortunately Xenogears is owned by Square Enix, and Xenosaga is owned by Namco Bandai, which would make a Xenosaga or Xenogears sequel basically impossible unless someone else made it.

If they do make a episode 4 it will be on the Wii. Nintendo bought the Xenosaga develpoer last year. While I like the system it just doesnt have the power to do the game justice.

There will be no Ep. IV. The series was ended prematurely because of creative differences between the series creators, who eventually left, and the corporate big wigs. Sucks to end at the point where Shion is starting on her trek to Lost Jerusalem, but I thought it was as good an ending as they could have done.

Monolith Soft actually said they would be interested in doing an entirely new trilogy based in the Xenoverse on a next-gen console if there was enough demand for it.

dont get your hopes down so soon. there might be a xenosaga 4. the xeno project had lots of trouble because of the previous contract they had with squareenix with xenogears.they could not include explicit relationship between both games so they had to get round it some way or the other.but now that the contract is about to expire on march i think they might as well resurrect this great game.and as you mention problems with scripters messed up things even worse(+ xenoII low sales)

Blue-eyed KOS-MOS is far more powerful than red-eyed KOS-MOS and talks in a more empathetic human-sounding voice. This alternate KOS-MOS is in fact KOS-MOS' true personality that partially awakens at times when Shion is in extreme danger.

Yeah, I think that's it. Namco and Monolith Soft expected the Xenosaga series to be sell millions but the first game alone only sold around 850,000 in North America which is quite a shame. Still, Namco needs to know how to advertise Xenosaga, I know that lots of movie goers would be interested in a series like this.

I really like this movie, as it definately does tell Kos's story quite well. One con may be the absence of faster cuts=unique editing, but this is is fixed in the second half for the most part. FAVORITES!

Wow, this is a good tribute. K0S-MOS was a well created character who fought to the very end, I wonder if the people who created the characters knew who would meet their end in the third installment, oh well, for now the fans decide the fate of the series, in their own stories.
