This episode felt really foreign to me when I was younger.

I was an Asian kid going to a mostly white school, but I never had ANY racial slurs thrown at me, ever. Actually, there also weren't any black kids, and just a few hispanic kids. I basically just became one of them after a while, they didn't recognize me as being of a different race. The whole group I hung out with was white, I dated white girls.

So I had a lot of difficulty understanding the concept of racism.

Blacks have changed from Colored to Black to African American because they're not happy with the described skin color. White isn't accurate either, but whites don't change their name so frequently.
