I know this is extremely old but I felt the need to post this. forpetessake38 or whatever and others who are unfamiliar with digital painting in general should know that almost every digital painter that's in the industry has a strong background with traditional art. There is no way for someone to magically know how to paint without knowing the basics of color theory etc. Comp is just another medium. Times change, most people nowadays don't paint in caves with minerals found in nature do they?

very cool! Digital, pencil-and-paper, whatever - I don't have a problem with it. The drawing skills are obvious and the result is fun and compelling.

regardless if hes using pencil and paper or a tablet and a computer you still need skill the computer is not going to provide the skill for you, its just another tool.

sorry, this is absolutely not a pencil drawing. this is digital art, nothing more. what's really sad is that this is becoming recognized as 'pencil drawing' and there will will be an entire generation of kids who wont know the essential fundamentals of drawing because they were only taught on on a computer screen.

However, I have been writing, 'I am using ZBrush' since before.

And, I used the pencil tool in ZBrush.

I am NOT wrong in anything.
