you can actually open the game's music using "Microsoft DirectMusic Producer".

Just create a new project, click File->insert file into project.

add the 3 files with the same name from your Empire Earth music directory.

And play it.

Perfect game. Soundtrack is addictive, gameplay is both relaxed and stressful, and the best part is it plays just as well on my netbook as it does on my desktop. Taking this ANYWHERE just makes it that much more valuable, considering games it outranks won't even load on an Atom, let alone play decently.

I WANT A HD REMAKE OF EE. Nothing changed. Just higher resolution textures. Keep this game going for years to come :)

I think Rise of Nations was the closest any game developer got to making another Empire Earth. Reason why I say "closest" is because Rise of Nations didn't have campaigns or a future age like EE did. If RoN did have these things, I think it would've been the best 4x RTS + slightly historical game ever created.

I've played to empire earth tonight : I had'nt played to this game since one or two years. And when I've eard this song again... I felt so good :D specially when the drums come in.

This game is seriously one of the best STR of all times.

At all the gamers : if you haven't played it, try this game, he's really awesome (even if he's a little bit old with the graphics =( )

@Silkorvelvet EE2 had good graphics, but yet still it wasn't good. EE1 doesn't have that good graphics, but it's still superior compared to EE2 (EE3 doesn't even deserve to be compared with the first).

But i agree, all those into RTS genre, should really try this game. Especially those who've played Age of Empires 1 & 2. :D

The song is actually called 'Shadows 2' or simply 'Shadows'. It was composed in Microsoft DirectMusic Producer.

I think you're both right though. The low Drum\Horn give it a primal 'prehistoric' feel, while the Synth\Violin give it an ethereal almost sci-fi feel, with the Horn\Violin serving as intermediates. You get a different sense depending on which you focus on. It may be intended as a subtle metaphor for what the game is about.

Empire Forever sounds like a fan sequel. =)

"Prehistorical Symphony" seems a bit odd for an epic style repetitive song. I was thinkin more like either the original name (Whatever that may be) or if it IS unnamed, how about "Empire Forever." No offense, nosocalypse, there's nothing prehistoric about this song. You have drums, violins, a synth, horns. And potentially, this song could be played forever. Just a thought.

I used a program called Messer v-0.99. You should be able to find it with google and there's also a copy on snapfiles.

The program records music directly from your pcs sound card. So basically you open the game, turn of all sound effects apart from the music and then just record using Messer.
