Personally, I believe this video is exemplary of the struggle between alterity, and identity within the modern condition and it's reality principle. The Self as it were being "buried alive" under the skin; by the false consciousness, and constraints of it's environment; and by the image, or the mask of the self. The narrative isn't negative or pessimistic, but instead the madness is hermeneutical or a stage of positive disintegration..

How I've discovered Otep and this album: I saw a commercial for Opeth on TV and thaught that it sounded nice. So, I went to the store and bought Opeth's CD. After listening to it, I was like "Omg this is shit". After being pissed that I had lost my money, I remembered seeuing another band named Otep near Opeth's CD. So I went back to the store and said that I got confused and bought the wrong CD. They argued a bit but they let me exchange the CD. That's how I got into Otep. Best lie ever :)
