RIP to the 3 golden ladies Estelle,Bea & Rue,they had health problems, 1 parkinson's disease, 1 had cancer & 1 had a stroke.THe only survival now is Betty White, I like her, she bad actin for a long time.This is the last time the roginal 4 golden girls shown acting together & on television.This show was on for only 1 year due to low ratings, but hey,I like this,they should put this on DVD.I miss all the good TV from the past, I miss the 90s also.

@run2dad2004 There's nothing aesthetically wrong with this song. I think some people just take exception to it because it's different from what they're used to. I'd bet that the idea behind it is that introducing a couple of pivotal male characters to an otherwise all-female ensemble while retaining the explicity feminine tone of the original theme is incongruous. The new song does its job.

I think that representing Dorothy(Bea Arthur) coming back, they should've played the original "Thank You for Being a Friend" theme(from Cynthia Fee, and of course, used on "The Golden Girls"), and should've also used a special opening credit tagline saying "Special Guest Star BEATRICE ARTHUR as Dorothy Zbornak-Hollingsworth", or something like that, to let the viewers know she was coming back.

It was actually written by Andrew Gold. It was a hit back in 1978.

This has to be the most important episode of this show, with Dorothy back. I think they brought her back because sweeps were starting, and the show was trying to make it on its own merits.

yea i think there is loads more but they desiced to finish it up and not bother to show the other epasoides and the reason i dont think they will show them or put them on dvd is that this show was a contuation like all the epasoides were kind of based on the same thing were the golden girls epasoides had a diffirnt plot each week and when they made the last epasoide of this all the other ones they did before it and didnt use dont realy have a purpoose o and in Ireland we dont get Lifetime lol
