@PKtheHEDGEHOG It's not really a remix as much as it is a musical fusion. Half of the song is from the Rival Battle from HG/SS, and half is from the climactic battle with N from Black and White Versions.

Neither of those is among the original Pokémon games, and the image certainly isn't (that's the Champion Blue sprite from FR/LG, a Gen. III remake of the Gen. I games).

@FatherOfGray He had a Ratatta in the battle in Cerulean City, and a Raticate on the SS Anne. The next battle is in Pokemon Tower, a resting place for dead Pokemon. He no longer has the Raticate in that battle.

@CommanderBlitzkrieg He also really doesn't have any reason to be in the Pokemon Tower, other than if his Ratticate died. He questions your own presence there without explaining his own. Most people, including myself, assume the Ratticate died, or was possibly (accidentally) murdered by Red or Team Rocket. He also shows up at Silph Co. for no real reason too.

Of course, Nintendo never elaborated, so it could all be just coincidence, but still, there's proper evidence.

Oh now that I think of it, that is true. But that doesn't necessarily mean that Red killed it. the Raticate could have died by natural causes. Also, there are quite a few trainers between the S.S. Anne and Poke'mon Tower. One of them could be responsble for Raticate's death. I think the fanboys just took this one out of context. Makes for good creepy pasta material though.

2.) You didn't kill his Raticate. He traded it for one of his other Pokemon you see later (most likely Exeggcute because it's impossible to get one until after you've beaten him in the Pokemon Tower), and he's screwing with you. That's my theory.
