Man at the beginning I thought you were revving a chainsaw because I could not see what you were doing and was thinking " I guess its really not for the squeemish"
I suppose animals that feed off decayed carcasses would consider it wonderful, bears are definitely attracted to the smell of death (and peanut butter). I know my dog sure loves to roll around in dead things... which is why she's an outside dog.
thank you! I forgot to ask Tim what fleshing is.. but bear season is pretty much over this year I think. He traps all winter tho so I could do more of him working on beaver, fox, wolf, ermine, martin and the occasional dog (just kidding).
yes it does, I've seen a lot of dead animals since I started camping here, but I usually leave after I take a few pictures and skip the actual work involved in skinning and butchering. I've been in Alaska on and off since 1974, so I'm not unfamiliar with hunting or trapping, but about all I've ever done was help package moose meat. Tim seems to think I can learn to get over my fear and do it all, from hunting to skinning. I must be a city girl at heart, because I don't want to.
hey I know all those people....Known Tim for 10 years or so. We bumped into eachother up on the Denai highway Caribout hunting qutie a few years ago.
