  • Where can I buy one?

  • how? make a tutorial

  • do you leave that in your pocket when you sit down?

  • ANYONE KNOWS THE SONG NAME? MY LITTLE BROTHER LOVES IT THANKS!

  • great video atari cartridge pac-man and i like music too

  • My big question is: How do you get the label off to get to the screw?

  • ok my question is, whats the pcb board on the bottom,, is that to hold ur cards?

  • One Question... Did these carts work, before being transformed into a wallet?

  • Most of them, yes. Out of the tens of thousands of games I've worked with over the years, 99% of them work with some cleaning. Yes, real working games were made into wallets. Out of the millions that were made, the thousand or so I'm using won't destroy the collector's market, but thanks for asking!

  • Great. Now I gotta get one

  • Where can I buy one?

  • pretty cool idea...hahah excellent video

  • ...........

  • how does it lock and how tight. is this water resistant to 20 meters? Or only 5?

  • The hinges want to naturally close, but there are 2 sets of rare earth magnets that are very strong & close tight. Alas, it is not water resistant and shouldn't be submerged in water unless you misunderstand the term "money laundering".

  • Wait a second, you maid this shit? Damn I'll have to buy one!

But why is it 55 dollars?

  • Each wallet takes over two hours to repurpose and it took years to engineer the repurposing processes. This is not mass-produced or foreign-made and every one is vigorously tested. You should also consider the challenge of accumulating nearly 1000 nearly-new Atari games and the costs of machining, magnets, glue and tools.

  • These are all hand-made and take over two hours to repurpose. Also consider the cost of machining and parts, as well as the time to gather & engineer the process.

  • Still lets think about this, ok an atari cart, like 1 buck if you buy in bulk. The parts I'll just say cost at most 10 dollars (sorry if I'm wrong) and two hours labor at lets say 6 bucks an hour. That only works out to a total of 23 dollars to make. I would buy one but 55 bucks is a little to much to pay for this.

  • @Videogamehistorian00 Do you realize how stupid this sounds? Do you calculate labor for every hobby project? The project itself is half the fun.

  • @superbeecat

No, but I was just voicing my opinion on the price of this product. It's a cool concept and I've definitely got a few carts to try it on, but in my opinion $55 dollars was a little much to charge for it.

  • It looks like the magnet hovers over the credit cards. Isn't that an issue? I'm under the impression that sliding magnetic strips over magnets will eventually degauss them. It's an awesome design regardless.

  • The magnets reside in the outer edge of the carts, nearly an inch from the card space and well beyond the reach of any lateral magnetic fields, as they are axially magnetized. The magnets are 1/16" x 1/4" rod magnets, grade G52. And thanks!

  • lol I was just being silly on the water resistant stuff. earth magnets rule!

  • I want one!!

  • where can i get one

  • They are on sale via my etsy site, which you can access from the Store link on my website.

  • Love this. Very very cool idea. I would love a Pac-Man or Pitfall one. Any chance of you doing either one of those?

  • I can't do Pitfall, River Raid, Q*Bert, Frogger, or any other third party manufacturer. If it's not an original Atari brand cart, the odd shape of the plastic does not allow for repurposing. Pac Man is on the way - I just need to pay the machine shop to finish them first!

  • best youtube video i seen all day

    kudos

  • sweet lol

  • Mad awesome vid - wallet seems nice too

  • make one out of an ET Cartridge!!!

  • Already done & available via my etsy store! Currently on sale through Father's Day.

  • Four incredibly strong neodymium rare earth magnets vs. magnetic strip cards?

  • Correct. The pull on the magnets is oriented at the poles and the lateral reach isn't enough to reach/affect magnetic strips, even after four years of use. What you really want to avoid is demagnetizers - those kill magnetic strips.

  • thats so cool

  • Finally! A use for all those "ET: The Extraterrestrial" Atari cartridges in that New Mexico landfill

  • Hahaha... If you can find them on the outskirts of Alamogordo, I've got the shovels!

  • Please be do excusing me, but who does the music preformed by?

  • The answer is DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist, off the highly recommended Hard Sell album. It's dripping with 80s musical goodness mixed up tight.

  • NilesZ:

WOW!!! For some reason I had Cold Cut in my head. GOOD CALL!!! You should REALLY win an Atari wallet!!!

  • just recently got one, absolutely love it! very clever and fun wallet!

  • I hope you're enjoying the Missile Command!

  • I want to buy one

  • Please visit the URL in the video, where you'll find a link to my online etsy store. Watch my site for upcoming sales, new titles, and contests!

  • Love the song!
