  • Spring is in the air, time to clean out the pantry, wow we have all kinds of food we never use, so do like we do & support your local Food Bank. FOOD BANK'S ARE TRUE AMERICAN HEROES!!! SUPPORT AMERICA, SUPPORT A FOOD BANK, I DARE YOU!

  • Close to a year later after this report ...Americans are still huge as ever. I don't think there's a food shortage.

The economy will be bad for years to come, but Americans skinny again? Come on.

  • What I love is seeing someone covered in gold jewelry pulling out their food stamps. And after paying, loading their welfare food into their cadillacs riding on $2000 rims. Yeah, we all know who they are.

  • I refuse to make any contribution to any charity that gives to illegal aliens. I'm happy to give to charities that limit their giving to US citizens and legal immigrants. I do not want illegal aliens here and will do nothing to make their lives easier.

  • How much of the food goes to Illegal Aliens?

  • At the end the anchor asks the reporter, "Who contributes to the food bank?" She answers with who distributes the food. I guess she didn't want to mention that the food was contributed by "evil" corporations and "rich people".

Contributions are dwindling because the economy sucks and all the "givers" are worried that Obama will tax them out of existance.

  • that red shirt person is well equiped to survive for a decade a food shortage

  • This is depression

    18% unemployment

    no end in sight !

  • Economic Warfare and the US is getting Owned !

  • 0:53

Looks like the person in the red shirt is getting enough food eh? Am I right?!? Come on you were all thinking it... :P

  • yeah man that fat ass works for a food bank she is probably the responsible ...those fat asses responsibles first they serve themselves their families and friends probably even resell what's good to sell from the food they receive for the poor and through the rest to the homeless and hungry to whom that food was originally directed ..I never saw somebody working in a food bank going to buy food in a supermarket they just serve themselves from the food they are supposed to distribute to the poor

  • food banks and charities in general are the biggest scam going on , they are no more there to feed the hungry but to make money and benefit out of the hunger of thousands , the government should be distributing money directly to the needy without having to give that money to these phony charities

  • I don't know, I wouldn't say all charities are that way, I'm sure some are genuine.

I also wouldn't be so quick to say that having government take over charity would improve things. Government can be just as corrupt as any private institution.

  • @AnduinX You get 18% unemployment because people spend their american money on foreighn cars(hondas, nissans, toyotas) and Chinese made crap from wal mart. Americans are cutting their own throats and are too stupid to realize it. Americans don't deserve jobs when they display this type of mentality. Fortunately the "illegal aliens" buy Fords and Chevys.

  • @kuei1248: We do import more than we export, but this is beyond just cars. It's normal behavior to try to buy the best product for your money. We are losing the market largely because of government interference in the market. Minimum wage, unions, bailouts, and other government failures raise the price of goods and drive business out of our country. We're competing on an international market against countries that have no such protections.

  • @AnduinX The best product for the money is the product that keeps you employed. Americans are too short sighted. They will put themselves out of work just to save 50 cents over buying american products. You are correct about our government running businesses out of the country though. But, that is the cost of supporting people who never had any desire to work in their lives because they always got a free handout. Our government needs to support the working people. Let the lazy die and rot!

  • @kuei1248: Can you blame people in the US for buying cheaper, just as reliable goods? If anybody is responsible for the migration of business out of the US and the general trend for people in the US to buy foreign goods it is those who interfere with the free market.

  • @AnduinX Here is one thing to think about. If i save $1 on a product made by a Chinese person who makes $25 per week, that only insures that EVENTUALLY I will have to make $25 per week to even the table. See the big picture? If you pay more for the product you get more in the long run. You must think BEYOND the item at hand. What is it REALLY costing you to "save" that $1? Jobs are NOT free. Ivest in yourself when you buy american products.

  • @kuei1248: I understood what you were saying in your first post. My point is the problem here is not the people, it's our government that is making us uncompetitive. If we had a free market we would be able to compete on the same level as them, if not better, and the whole thing would be a non-issue. The government is artificially increasing the price of our goods and we are all suffering for it.

  • @AnduinX You are correct to a point. It is not just the government's fault. You can't blame the government because you want to be paid $1000/week compared to $25 per week. It is also true that we should have import tariffs. But, to be realistic, the most powerful person in america is the consumer. In the end, you get what you pay for. And if you keep letting politicians work against you it is your fault. The French know how to keep government in line. Americans are just weak and stupid.

  • @kuei1248: and yeah, our welfare culture disgusts me. It won't continue for much longer though, it's all going to come crashing down soon. My hope for the US is that when it comes crashing down we will revert to a small government non-welfare state.

  • @AnduinX My ex-wife is on welfare. She is capable of working but has NO interest. She gets free food, a free 3 bedroom brick house to live in, free money, free medical, free legal (to attack me), free education (she has no use for), free utilities, free transportation and best of all, free sympathy from people too stupid to realize that she is ripping them off. It will NOT come crashing down because working americans are too weak to fight back.

  • @kuei1248: The worker's acceptance of their exploitation won't stop the collapse of the welfare system. The collapse will be mechanical, no rebellion need happen, because the ratio of people who mooch versus people who work is shifting towards the mooches. As time progresses this will only worsen as more people mooch and less people work. Last year our government paid more in entitlements alone (nevermind the other stuff) then it took in from taxes. It's simply not sustainable.

  • @AnduinX Here is what is wrong with your assumption. In the past 30 years, wages have gone down while taxes have gone up. As long as we still have a little cash in our pockets welfare IS sustainable. If you can't get blood from a turnip just squeeze harder. When people can no longer pay, our government just puts them in prison. Child support is a great example. Lose your job and can't pay, guess where you go. Then they come and take all your assets. As long as you have something, they will take.

  • @kuei1248: Pile our entitlement culture on top of our existing debt and already failing economy and you have a recipe for breakdown. When the welfare checks stop coming we'll have riots and violence - similar to Greece, and they certainly will stop coming.

  • Wow! You are truly an idiot. You never saw someone working in a food bank go to buy food in a supermaket? What, do you follow them around? Are you obsessed?

"The government should be distributing money directly to the needy"?

Are you nuts? There is nothing even remotely relating the words government ,distribute and directly. They should not be used in the same sentence.

The government doesn't give money to these charities. They are completely donor driven by those whose taxes you want to raise.

  • After WW2 there was food in food banks for a whole year, now I guess less than for a month...

  • They keep them in houses. Banks can't foreclose. Trllions of borrowed money will be disperesed into circulation to "help". Dollar lwill lose its buying power. Mass starvation. Hyperinflation. Everyone will be looking at small businesses, smart folks to help, but sorry, they will be taxed into obliviance and closed shops or left the country. Thanks Obama! Good plan!
