On the one I had the action and intonation was superb. But that may be the exception rather than the rule. that being said I have owned 4 Danelectros over the years and the all have been good guitars.

12-string Danos are so bad ass! Just throw a flange, Leslie or other widescope effect on it, experiment with some different tunings (C-G-C-G-C-E always gets my juices flowing), and you can get lost for days. Total helped me get a fresh perspective on guitar.
