A month ago I was standing on the rubber mat on which my feet were kinda locked because it doesn't slip like on the wet floor. I tried to grab an item from the table which was behind me and that time I didn't lift my leg so twisted it lightly.. It didn't hurt I wasn't in pain but it got kinda loose or maybe that was just my panic imagination. It is not hurting and not swelling at all. I walk and even run. BUT I am scared that it can come out later... Pls give advice me if u know what is that?
I repair most mensiscus injuries by hand even if their MRI shows severe damage. Many people on crutches or in wheel chairs are walking unassisted after three office visits even when their MRI shows multiple ligament partial tears. If a patient were to fail to respond quickly to my care (within 3 office visits), I would refer them to an Orthopedist for a surgical consult. I have been developing this procedure for over 10 years, and I'm preparing for a 150 patient study.
I have a miniscus tear in the right knee but also I have osteonecrosis in that knee and have a hole in my knee, which is clearly shown on the x-ray. The ortho MD I have said I need a partial knee replaceent on that right one. The left one is also a mess with fraying of the miniscus - that MRI was done about 3 years go so we will get an updated one. I am used to the pain, but, sometimes it is too much, yourknow? I go in late summer for Arthroscopic surgery. Happy times!
Hi, just stumbled on this website. Today got a letter from the hospital to say the left knee injury I suffered five months ago shows up on the MRI scan as "bucket handle tear posterior horn of the medial meniscus with a Baker's cyst" (quite a mouthful!).
Told I need to return to hospital to discuss surgical intervention. Can anyone out there tell me if surgery will prevent me driving a car (with clutch) for how long roughly? Thanks, John.
@1Prayerwarrior22 Thanks for letting me know. I wish you all the very best for Wednesday. Please let me know how it went and how you are recovering. John Adams, London.

Hi, Doctor I was playing cricket in jan and I heared a popping sound in my knee , I went with the RICE formula and it worked for me . bt then again it popped up in March , I again rested it for 1 week and it was healed , it happened to me now for the third time in May. I have visit the orthopaedic its a meniscus tear ,surgery . I am 25 male in sydney and I wanted to know that what are the post surgery results, my work includes standing and a normal walking ????
@tippuss no, its mostly numb on the knee but you'll most likely be able to walk around the recovery room and dress yourself, I mean I did. extending isn't the problem, it's retracting. Like you may not be able to completely bend it after. But I was walking around the house the same day, without a limp. It's gonna swell up pretty bad though even with ice. Just be careful when you run. For me it seems like that's the worst thing even after 6 months.
I'm fucked in hav history of meniscus tear in my left knee and today while trainin bjj I heard and felt a pop like i did in my left knee immediatley I knew I was fucked
@alastair78 lol...that's funny...i have to agree with that at the moment cuz i just injured my knee and i think its a meniscus tear... it fuckin sucks
ya same here i just got an mri back and said i have a meniscus tear and i did it a year and a half ago...every doctor just said therapy and you can still play...
