ok this must be the most confusing tracklist in a game... aoe2 has the same music than aoe but with an added 9 minute track (the second track that plays here) but i can't seem to get track 3 ( 3:00 ) or 4 ( 4:00 ) then track 5 is eastern echoes and track 6 ( 7:55 ) is another one i cannot find... could you or anyone please list those track names ? thanks

Favourit strategy on easy: Let every villager get food, wood, gold and stone, build a small army to defend yourself, go to the last age, make a HUGE army of paladins, champions and castle guys (depends on the country). Than completely CRUSH the enemy team without any kind of strategy!!! And don't let them surrender but destroy everything! >:)

One- I always loved AOEII Music, but could never figure out how to get it out of the game files so I could, you know, just listen to it.

Two- Man, I hope they remake the first AOE games after they're 'done' with the series (like, after AOE V or whatever comes out, they come out with Age of Empires I: Two or something).

That's so good! I have been always interested in history and I love this game. My friend in primary school some ten years ago (man it's been awhile!) made a history essay about Joan of Arc, based on the information in AoE II: The Conquerors!

I just bought this game, of course I have been playing it alot back in the day, but now I found it from a flea market for a just 2 € ($2.5)! I just had to bought it! Surprisingly it works in my windows 7, which I heavily doubt, 'cos lots of old games doesn't work in new operating systems, sad ;( Anyway the game doesn't have music while playing it, it has the menu theme (which is the best), but no other music, why is it so?

Age of Empires 2 and its Expansion pack are some of the best RTS games I've played. Dawn of War and the Star Wars version of it come close second.

My longest game on it was 5 hours. 8 players, massive map, deathmatch resources and full LoS.

I got so tired I quit. Haha! :P Just couldn't finish it. This is one of the few RTS games in which the enemy were actually hard to beat...

Star Wars was easy, Dawn of War is easy - This, no, you had to be good to beat the CPUs. ;)

actually- yes. The byzantines (mainly) had some kind of pipe-device working as a siphon/hand pumped that would project inflammable '"greek fire" ( a mixture of oil, sulphur etc)

Lol! I had a good strategy in AOE 2 that im willing to share. Get loads of Trade Caravans, rush them to your enemy's base. Your Foes will go after that with all their units, have your men ready to invade that town with no militia lol!!
